MCA-based Solution to Point Cover Problem

Abstract:In WASN,the point coverage is a fundamental problem.When taking the mobility of sensor nodes into account,this paper proposed an evaluation algorithm to measure how well a set of object points was monitored by sensor networks on the basis of Monte Carlo algorithm.The algorithm evaluated some points which were randomly selected from the set of object points.If all selected points met quality of requirements,it would return;or it demarcated those object points which didn't meet requirements.Repeated to call the algorithm five times,which would make the ratios of the correctness of the quality evaluation algorithm amount to 99%.So it solved point coverage problem effectively in WASN.The simulation demonstrates that it is feasible.
