Effects of Emerging Infectious Diseases on the Health of Ageing

Abstract:Human society is experiencing the double test of ageing population and the threat of infectious diseases in the 21st century.Research on emerging infectious diseases contributes to understand its characteristics,transmission and hazards to the health of ageing for personal,family and social society.This paper expounded the definition,type and characteristics of emerging infectious diseases firstly,then illustrated the effects on the health of ageing using SARS and HIV as an example,and finally proposed to establish an early warning and response system for the health of ageing.
