Abstract:To improve the rural living environment and build beautiful and livable countryside is an important task of implementing Rural Revitalization Strategy, which is related to building all-round well-off society, the basic well-being of farmers, and the rural social civilization and harmony. This paper sorts the problems existing in the four major aspects of the current rural human settlements environment, including environment health condition, installation of rural environment infrastructure, capital investment status and construction of comprehensive renovation project of rural environment. In combination with the main attack direction of “Three-year plan of Action for the rehabilitation of the rural human settlements environment”, this paper proposes six specific countermeasures: promoting the disposal of rural domestic waste, promoting rural toilet revolution, treatment of rural domestic sewage, promoting the appearance of village, strengthening the management of village planning and perfecting construction and manage-protect mechanism. Responding actively to the human settlements environment policy and Rural Revitalization Strategy policy, it is of great practical significance to effectively improve the rural human settlement environment in China.

Abstract:At present,China rural libraries are in difficulty to develop sustainably,and the greatest difficulty is sustainable supply of funds.Library foundation can promote the development of rural libraries with some features of public benefit,independence,subsidizing disadvantaged groups,and long-standing mechanism to guarantee fund.In practice,many Library foundations help libraries in distressed area and succeed adopting modes of dependence,cooperating with government,and extending library service in other projects.In future,we should develop library foundation to promote sustainable development of rural libraries.

Abstract:China is a large agricultural country,so more attention must be paid to building up a resource-conserving and environmentally friendly society in its rural areas.However,rural areas have their own unique features,and the methods of the cities shouldn't be adopted completely in the rural areas.Based on a comparative analysis of the New Socialist Countryside,the Harmonious Society,and the Rural All-round Well-off Society,this paper constructs a com-prehensive assessment index system of building up a resource-conserving and environmentally friendly society in the rural areas,which can be used to analyze the existing problems in the rural areas.

Abstract:Rural library and information centres could play a significant role in the socio-economic development of rural areas by providing information and communication services to the rural people. In most parts of the world, especially in the developing countries, these centres are plagued with various problems like insufficient funds, lack of government and community support, uncertainty about sustainability, etc. The centres are trying to solve these problems in various ways, although it has proved to be a very difficult task. This article highlights the problems and prospects of rural library and information services in different parts of the world by reviewing relevant literature contributed by development practitioners, library and information professionals, academics and others. It contains valuable insights and observations for making the rural library and information initiatives successful in the long run. The field of rural library and information services is changing continuously with the advent of new techniques and technologies. Abstract:In recent years, the state has put rural revitalization in an important position of the national development strategy, emphasizing that rural revitalization must be realized in order to solve the problems of agriculture, rural areas and farmers and improve rural economic income. Under the rural revitalization strategy, in order to restore the overall vitality of villages and towns, we must give priority to the development of agricultural and rural areas. However, due to the restriction of the dual structure of urban and rural areas, the planning and construction of villages and towns are faced with many problems, such as the absence of the main body of village planning and construction management, the crisis of abandoning cultivated land for other purposes, poor living conditions and even destruction. Abstract:The paper takes Xiatan village in Ganzhou,Jiangxin province as an example,analyzes the dilemmas of rural basic public service configuration:an extreme and informal demand caused by particular population structure and income level;the unbalanced allocation leads to an unsustainable operation,and scattered rural settlements hinder the equalization of public service distribution.Then,the paper summarizes four conflicts of rural public service between need and supply:human care versus standardization,production versus physical space,mobility versus fixation,market force versus administrative force.Finally,the paper tries to construct a mutable spatial network for the realization of equalization of basic public services in urban and rural areas.
