Abstract:The Borg-Levinson theorem describes that two spectra of the Sturm-Liouville operator uniquely determines the potential in the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue inverse problem.In this paper,by using the Liouville theorem of entire functions and estimating asymptotic behavior of the elementary solutions of the Srurm-Liouville equation as the spectral parameter approaches to infinity,a simple proof is provided for the Borg-Levinson theorem.The equivalence relationship among two spectra,the Weyl-Titchmarsh m-function and spectral function is also established.
