Abstract:A novel triple-band planar monopole antenna is presented in this report. By combing a C-shaped monopole, a U-shaped loop and a modified ground with a slot, three operating bands can be achieved. The measured results show that the 10-dB impedance bandwidths of the proposed antenna can cover multiple frequency bands, including 1.55-1.67 GHz, 2.2-3 GHz and 5.13-6 GHz, which can be applied to the GPS, LTE, WLAN, Wi-Fi and WiMAX systems.
