Preparation and application of silicone smoothening agent for wool finishing

Abstract:A silicone smoothening agent for wool fabric finishing was prepd.by compounding with aminosiloxane oil emulsion having different amino values and mol wt,high mol wt methylsiloxane oil emulsion,coupling agent,etc.SEM observation showed that the wool fibers finished with this product had unclear scale side thickness,no shadow feeling and quite smooth fiber surfaces.The application demonstrated that this product gave good softening and smoothening results to wool fabrics.Basically no color change occurred on the finished fabrics,with color difference over grade 4.
