Abstract:The population density is very high in Jiangsu province and a large part of its people live in small towns. The proper treatment of municipal sewage in small towns is the precondition of improving regional water quality. This article puts forward the strategies on municipal sewage treatment in relation to the selection of technology and financial modes. The significances in regional planning of wastewater treatment and use of wetland in purifying waste water based on the physical and socio-economic characteristics in Jiangsu province are also reiterated.
