Abstract:Premature ejaculation(PE)is regarded as one of the most common male sexual disorders,featured with short intravaginal ejaculatory latency time(IELT),weak ability to control over ejaculation,and lack of sexual satisfaction.Although the etiology of PE is still unclear,the low concentration and the abnormal receptors such as 5-HT1A and 5-HT2C of 5-hydroxy tryptamine(5-HT)have be confirmed to be considerable factors contributing to PE.Serum leptin,an adipocyte hormone which can accelerate 5-HT metabolism thus to reduce its concentration,seems to become a promising cut-in point of PE research.
