Abstract:The immune algorithm is a intelligentized heuristic algorithm which imitates high-evolvement of the organism and complicated immune system. The paper describes the mathematics model of the vehicle routing problem and the overview of the immune algorithm, introduces a hybrid immune-genetic algorithm based on the affinity of the antibody; mends the crossover operator ; applys the hybrid immune-genetic algorithm to solve the vehicle scheduling problem with limited route length. Experiment result shows the hybrid immune-genetic algorithm can find the optimal or nearly optimal solution effectively compaied with the genetic algorithm.

Abstract:This paper presents a vehicle routing problem with soft time windows and builds a model of the problem based on natural description. Then, a immune algorithm is proposed to solve the problem, in which a new coding method of antibody, the improve manner of appetency computation, and evaluate function are introduced. The computational results demonstrate that the high quality solutions to the vehicle routing problem with soft time windows can be obtained by using the immune algorithm, and the new algorithm is also efficient and robust.

Abstract:After analysis of the data from Dalian bus IC card database, the paper propose an optimization algorithm for bus scheduling. By introducing an artificial immune algorithm based on information entropy, the optimal or the quasi-optimal solution to this multi-variable and non-linear problem of bus scheduling can be found efficiently. The experiment results demonstrate that the optimal bus departure intervals under different time periods can be obtained to adjust bus timetable conveniently, which help to adjust bus timetable dynamically.

Abstract:Bus scheduling is a key issue for bus operators. This paper presents an optimization algorithm for bus scheduling, based on the bus IC data of Dalian bus IC data management center. Abstract:In the fast-developing logistics and supply chain management fields, one of the key problems in the decision support system is that how to arrange, for a lot of customers and suppliers, the supplier-to-customer assignment and produce a detailed supply schedule under a set of constraints. Solutions to the multi-depot vehicle scheduling problems (MDVRP) help in solving this problem in case of transportation applications. The objective of the MDVSP is to minimize the total distance covered by all vehicles, which can be considered as delivery costs or time consumption. The MDVSP is one of nondeterministic polynomial-time hard (NP-hard) problem which cannot be solved to optimality within polynomial bounded computational time. Many different approaches have been developed to tackle MDVSP, such as exact algorithm (EA), one-stage approach (OSA), two-phase heuristic method (TPHM), tabu search algorithm (TSA), genetic algorithm (GA) and hierarchical multiplex structure (HIMS). Most of the methods mentioned above are time consuming and have high risk to result in local optimum. In this paper, a new search algorithm is proposed to solve MDVSP based on Artificial Immune Systems (AIS), which are inspirited by vertebrate immune systems. The proposed AIS algorithm is tested with 30 customers and 6 vehicles located in 3 depots. Experimental results show that the artificial immune system algorithm is an effective and efficient method for solving MDVSP problems.

Abstract:Vehicle routing problem(VRP)is an important content of logistics management research,which plays a crucial role in raising service quality and reducing cost.Based on the introduction of the basic principle of an immune monoclonal algorithm,the mathematic model of vehicle route optimization and its basic calculation process were given.The calculation results of an example show that the immune monoclonal algorithm can quickly obtain the overall optimum result and its effect is good through inducing join degree maturation,cloning,and memory mechanism,and utilizing corresponding calculation operator.

Abstract:First, a multi-objective immune genetic algorithm integrating immune algorithm and genetic algorithm for flexible job shop scheduling is designed. Second, Markov chain is used to analyze quantitatively its convergence. Third, a simulation experiment of the flexible job shop scheduling is carried out. Running results show that the proposed algorithm can converge to the Pareto frontier quickly and distribute evenly along the Pareto frontier.

Abstract:To overcome the shortcoming of ordinary genetic algorithm, an immune genetic algorithm is designed to better solve the job shop scheduling. Based on the characteristic that optimal offspring of each generation corresponding to the workpiece machining order is favorable to the target function, the algorithm abstracts vaccine and employs the improved elitist-crossover strategy and the simulated-annealing-based vaccine selection method. The simulation tests have showed the validity and practicability of the algorithm, and that the algorithm has better convergence speed and optimization accuracy. Specially, as a result of the algorithm, the prematurity which is a common phenomenon in the ordinary genetic algorithm, is efficiently avoided. © 2010 IEEE.

Basing on the standard Immune Genetic Algorithm, the vaccination technique and a novel method for calculating the affinity between the antibodies was added. Finally the algorithm was test with standard benchmark problems, and the experiment result shows the validity of the algorithm.

Abstract:Scheduling problems exist widely in science and engineering areas and are hard to obtain their optimal solutions, so people are searching advanced scheduling algorithms to solve them. Therefore, biological immune system inspired computational intelligence is developped and applied to scheduling problems quickly, which demonstrates their advantages and characteristics for solving scheduling problems. This paper surveys the state of the art of immune scheduling theories and algorithms, and introduces the clonal selection, immune network, and immune vaccine based scheduling algorithms. These algorithms are classified according to their immune mechanisms, optimization objectives, and scheduling problems. Finally, the applications of immune scheduling algorithms and their future research directions are given.

Abstract:To realize the concurrent distributed integration of process planning scheduling,a mathematical model of simulating optimization of process scheduling was established.The decision space,objective functions,and constraints of the model were defined.A co-evolutionary immune genetic algorithm was proposed to simultaneously optimize the combination of alternative process and production scheduling.Collaborative evolution was realized through the interaction between process population and scheduling population,the affinity and concentration of antibody were used to guarantee the diversity of population,the stimulation of antibody was used to realize immune selection,and the elitism keeping strategy was used to guarantee the convergence of the algorithm.To deal with the characteristics of codes,the uniform crossover and random disturbance mutation were used for the process antibody,whereas the uniform order crossover and reverse mutation were used for the scheduling antibody.Simulation of 10 machines and 10 parts was performed to illustrate the validity of the algorithm.

Abstract:Focused on the VRPTW(Vehicle Routing Problem With Time Windows)and based on SGA (Simple Genetic Algorithm), this paper employs a new IGA(Immune Genetic Algorithm) to solve the VRPTW through using Immune operator. This algorithm based on the global searching method of SGA, and using the diversity preservation strategy of antibodies in biology immunity mechanism, the method greatly improves the colony diversity of SGA. The experiment shows that the proposed IGA can improve the global research ability and the speed of convergence, so it could solve the VRPTW effectively.

Abstract:The industrial structure of the cities has undergone great changes, while the population is also in a large number of flows, which undoubtedly makes Chinese urban transportation construction and management face new standards and challenges. We proposed using immune algorithm to solve the transportation planning problems in this paper to shorten the total length of transmission network and transportation network, and developed a MATLAB software with the immune algorithm procedures to solving the engineering problems. By running MATLAB program got 5 substation construction points and 2 urban rail construction centers, the results showed that it can shorten the path and reduce the cost of investment to a certain extent, and the immune algorithm has global optimization, parallel search, high efficiency and other characteristics. Through the verification of the northeast transmission network optimization analysis and the central plains urban agglomeration intercity rail transportation network planning optimization analysis, demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of the immune algorithm.

Abstract:An improved hybrid immune algorithm (HIA) with parallelism and adaptability is proposed to solve the flexible job shop scheduling problem. In order to represent the actual characteristics of the problem's solution, in the algorithm the author uses a hybrid encoding method of piece-machine. Firstly, adaptive crossover operator and mutation operator are designed based on the encoding antibody method and the affinity calculation based on group matching is adopted. Secondly, the algorithm uses adaptive crossover probability and mutation probability in the operation of immune for the antibody population. The new antibody after crossing can automatically meet the constraints of the problem. Next, a hybrid algorithm based on simulated annealing algorithm is introduced to avoid the local optimization in this paper. Finally, it is demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm through the simulation and comparison with some existing algorithms.
Application of immune particle swarm optimization to job-shop scheduling problem

Abstract:During the iterative process of standard particle swarm optimization (PSO), the premature convergence of particles decreases the algorithm's searching ability. Through analyzing the reason of particle premature convergence during the renewal process, by introducing the selection strategy based on antibody density, an immunity based PSO model was proposed, and its application to job-shop scheduling problem (JSP) was given. The selection strategy based on antibody density makes the particles of immune particle swarm optimization (IPSO) maintain the diversity during the iterative process, thus overcome the defect of premature convergence. Simulation for 43 benchmark problem of JSP indicates that compared with the exiting algorithms, IPSO gets better result within shorter period, thus certify the improvement of the algorithm's searching ability by immunity mechanism. The Gantt chart of scheduling result of LA36 problem was finally given.

Abstract:Immune simulated annealing hybrid algorithm was firstly put forward based on the artful combination of immune algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm after they were thorough analyzed.The immune mechanism including immunity memory,vaccine extraction and inoculation helps to hold the excellent individual and gene,and can enhance algorithm constringency.The mountain climbing based on probability jump of simulated annealing algorithm can avoid prematurity.The flexible dynamic Job Shop simulation experiment of Xi'an Aaviation Engine Manufacture Corporation was separately done by immune algorithm,simulated annealing algorithm and immune simulated annealing hybrid algorithm.At last it is proved that the hybrid algorithm exceeds the single algorithm and is the available effective method for solving flexible dynamic Job Shop problem.

Abstract:By proposing the concept of timeline,transforms dynamic vehicle scheduling problem into a series of static vehicle scheduling problems.Considering cloud preference objective function and empty car delay time constraint,the cloud preference model of dynamic empty car scheduling was built.The non-dominated antibodies were proportionally immune clonal according to their cloud preference,which were defined by their cloud application preferences.It is beneficial to enhance the forecasting accuracy of the immune gene manipulation,and to increase the speed of finding the optimal solution based on the application preference.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm improves the availability,load balancing deviation and valid time of the dynamic empty car scheduling system,so can meet the real-time calculation requirement.
