Abstract:Taking Fuji apple as materials,the fruit yield and quality at different locations of apple crown and their relationships with spatial distribution of branches and leaves were researched.The results showed that the development status of flower at different locations of crown were quite consistent.The flower number per inflorescence and the corolla diameter of central flower and ray flower were not obviously different with the increase of crown height.The fruit yield mainly distributed in the secondary periphery of the 2nd,3rd and 4th layers of crown.The single fruit weight was larger at the 3rd and 4th layers of crown,and larger at the middle parts than the periphery.The fruit coloring index was larger and larger from up to down and from outside to inside of the crown.With the increase of the height of crown,the fruit brightness index increased first and then reduced,which was the largest at the 3rd layer.The rust of calyx cavity,stalk cavity and body distributed at all parts of crown,and their rust indices changed irregularly at vertical and horizontal directions in the same yield level trees.The body rust of the trees with the yield of 2 000 or 3 000 kg per 666.7m2 was less,while that at the layers from the 2nd to the 4th of the trees with 4 000 kg per 666.7m2 of yield was more serious.The fruit shape index and flesh hardness at different parts of crown had no obvious change rule and differences,but the flesh hardness showed an increasing trend with the increase of yield.The fruit soluble solid generally increased with the increase of the tree crown height,but there was no obvious change rule at horizontal direction of high-yielding trees.With the increase of the height of crown,the quantity of branches and leaves increased first and then reduced,and those of the 3rd layer was generally the largest;but at the horizontal direction,they were less and less from outside to inside.The fruit quantity and yield were very significantly correlated with the quantity of branches and leaves;the fruit soluble solid at the yield of 2 000 kg per 666.7m2 and the single fruit weight at the yield of 3 000 kg per 666.7m2 were significantly correlated with the quantity of branches and leaves.
