Abstract:To understand the incidence and the type of fetal malformations in pregnant women and malformations type distribution in our hospital. From February 2011 to October 2013, 40 239 pregnancy women were selected. With GE Company Voluson E8 and Philips HDI4000 Color Doppler Ultrasound Diagnostic System, obstetric ultrasonic examination (Level III) was specifically applied on gestations between 20-28 weeks, and routine obstetric ultrasonic examination (Level II) was performed for the other gestations. Retrospective analysis was conducted on the detection of fetal malformations and misdiagnosis cases with prenatal ultrasound examination report and hospitalized cases. Among 40 239 cases, 845 cases were found with fetal malformations, and the detection rate was 2.09%. There were 640 cases suffered single abnormality (75.74%). The high incidence of single system malformation are nervous system malformations and urinary system malformations. 177 cases suffered multiple malformations (20.95%). Cardiac malformations had a greater incidence with other system malformations. Forty-eight cases missed diagnosis (5. 68%). The major types of the missed malformations are small ventricular septum, simple palate, external ear malformations. The detection rate of fetal malformation is high when Level II and Level III screening methods are routinely carried out.
