Advances in molecular biology research on cytoskeletal proteins of Giardia lamblia

Abstract:Scholars have increasingly focused on Giardia lamblia as a model of a eukaryotic system.G.lamblia uses cytoskeletal proteins to attach to a host's intestinal epithelial cells,causing giardiasis.Cytoskeletal protein components of G.lambliaare increasingly being studied to develop targets for new drugs.This review describes molecular biology approaches to the study of the cytoskeletal proteins of G.lamblia and the latest advances in those approaches,providing valuable information for the development of new drugs and further study of the cytoskeletal proteins of G.lamblia.
