Abstract:Nature has been no longer pure since the appearance of human beings. Where there are human beings, nature is impressed with human signs. Therefore, nature has become "nature of history" , "the inorganic body of man" and the environment for human survival. Along with the rapid development of science and technology, the traditional harmonious state of the ethical relationship between man and nature is sternly challenged, and ethical problems in environment and resources are becoming increasingly severe. In order to solve these problems, human beings, governed by certain ethical ideas and ethical rules of the relationship between man and nature, must develop and utilize nature in proper ways. Meanwhile, we human beings should be able to adapt ourselves to nature, to appreciate nature, cherish nature and protect nature so that we may promote the coordinated development of human beings, natural environment and social systems.

Abstract:Abstract Ethics is the basic principles and rules that guide people’s behavior. The transformation of ethics depends on morality and law, which in turn confirms and guarantees ethics. Regarding the relationship between human and nature, Eastern natural ethics and Western ethics have appeared successively. Among them, Western ethics has gradually developed from an anthropocentrism that only focuses on human interests to a transcendental natural ethics that considers man and nature as a whole, and converges with the basic principles of Eastern natural ethics, and finally realizes the sustainable development of man and nature. In this process of evolution, people supplemented with different morals and laws, which exerted different influences on nature. In the end, we need to strengthen corresponding education and guidance, and finally realize the organic unity of nature, human and society

Abstract:Along with the deterioration of environment as well as the development of environmentalism,eco-ethics suddenly came into existence with the purposes of reviewing the relationship between human being and the environment and restricting human behaviour from the angle of ethics.It's improper for some eco-centralists to blame environment crisis on the Western Humanism.Reviewing the evolution of the Westerners' views on nature in the 18th Century,we find the fact that the morality in enlightenment thoughts was replaced by capitalist economic theories which started environment crisis.In a sense,the crisis of environment is the the crisis of humanism.

Abstract:The ethical problems of idea, consciousness, value and responsibility on land use will affect the result of land use. Taking the origin and devolopment of land use ethics, the article sets forth the principles of benefiting the greatest public, the smallest of environment damage and balance for generations on ethical land use, and then discusseds the theory of ethical land use on respecting nature and life forms and having the sense of duty on land health. Furthermore, the key research directions in land use ethics are advanced.

Abstract:It's necessary to introduce ethics into contemporary environmental aesthetics.Virtue should be the foundation of aesthetic appreciation of natural environments.Ethical virtue can be translated into aesthetic attitude,taste and ability as well.For environmental aesthetics,beauty can be got by,and transformed from goodness.Environmental virtue indicates that people should sympathize with,take care of and respect the nature when they face the nature as individual object;while people should have a grateful,dependent,and awestruck heart to the nature when they are in front of the nature as a whole.

Abstract:There are many valuable environmental thoughts in Chinese traditional culture.They may offer insights for us into the difficulty of the concept rebuilding of the current Chinese environmental problems.Based on the above mentioned understanding,this article discusses the following ideas by the approach of environmental ethics :"unity of heaven and man","the equality of the living things","logic learned from the nature","ascetic and thrift of not wasting natural resources" and so on.Based on the above thoughts,the article proposes the weakness of solving the current Chinese environmental problems,and offers some ideas about how to reestablish the new value of traditional environmental ethic thoughts.We hope that the study would offer insights for us into the difficulty of solving environmental problems.

Abstract:The idea of environmental rights was first ascertained as a universal concern in the late 20th century and then became a fundamental part of environmental law along with the growth of serious disasters brought by the frequent occurrence of extreme environmental crisis. Generally speaking, the environmental rights safeguard and defend human rights and ultimately facilitate producing better conditions of life on earth by stretching and expanding the theory of traditional human rights. But there are endless debates since environmental rights appeared and various views of environmental rights, such as anthropocentric doctrine and organism's centre doctrine. Differentiated from the traditional research, this article reviewed environmental rights from the perspective of harmonious development between human beings and nature rather than from the perspective of law. Therefore, it is very important to clarify the relationship between human beings and nature based on the environmental rights and to promote the environmental rights to be embodied in the constitution. This article emphasized the importance of the practical significance of environmental rights, and built a concrete structure within the legal system that could promote the transformation of environmental law from ‘should have’ right to practical right, and promote the further development of environmental rights and their weightiness in the legal system.

Abstract:Eco-aesthetic is faced with the dilemma between "anthropocentrism" and "anti-anthropocentrism",and between "belief "and "science".Rigid sticking to the eco-centrism principle and extreme eco-organism may lead to the mirage of extreme naturalism.The way out of this dilemma depends on thorough reconstruction of all disciplines in humanities,on the reflection on the logical point and philosophical foundation of the eco-aesthetics,and further on the unity between an ecologic vision and ontology,between narrow eco-conception and broad one and between naturalism and humanism.

Abstract:Recently, much work has been put into the scholarly understanding and interpretation of the complexities of the Daoist tradition. This includes a critical exploration of its contribution to contemporary environmental issues. In this paper, the author reflects on the intersection of Daoist humanism and ecology and highlights the theoretical and historical implications associated with the Daoist approach to the environment. These starting points can tell us much about how Daoist philosophical thought can be successfully connected to humanism and the sciences of ecology and the environment. The article points to the possibility of an alternative worldview that can help us, in our limited time and space, nonetheless find the possibility of living some kind of sustainable yet here-and-now moment. In doing so, the author starts from some key questions found in classical texts. Through her analyzes, she examines the potential applicability of classical Daoist thought and practice in China and in the West, both in relation to the modern ecological crisis and to the role and place of human beings within nature and society.

Abstract:Environmental ethics have made a comprehensive revolution of traditional ethics in three levels: meta ethics,normative ethics and virtue ethics.Virtue ethics is a new direction of contemporary environmental ethics,but its building doesn't begin.The essay points out that,the equality principle between human and nature,the share principle between human and nature and nature is beyond human are theoretical basis of environmental virtue ethics.The building of environment al virtue is of two dimensions: nature as object and nature as environment.When referring to the former,environment virtue means that human should respect,has pity on and care for nature;when referring to the latter,environment virtue means that human should hold sentiments of gratefulness,attachment and awesomeness.

Abstract:Abstrcat Anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism are two basic guiding principles of environmental ethics.The different definitions of subjectbetween anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism result in fierce controversies on philosophy basis,ethic attitude,solution as well as course orientation of environmental ethics.However,anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism have something in common in historical background and final theory,ie.studying the ethical relationship between man and nature and promoting the harmonious development of man and nature.Therefore,the present global ecological crises are caused by the unhealthy character without subjectivity in modern civilization instead of a certain subject.Negative factors in modernity have to be criticized and a free and healthy subject on which environmental ethics is philosophically based have to be reconstructed.

Abstract:A formation of non-anthropocentric environmental ethics demands some significant theoretical breakthroughs in traditional ethical thinking. In terms of the historical trend in the development of human moral consciousness, it is of possibility for human beings to extend the scope of the moral concerns beyond the human species; non-anthropocentric environmental ethics is faced with some important theoretical dilemmas in terms of the nature of the moral act. The key to addressing these issues does not lie in a logical derivation from existing ethical principles, but in a communication with and identification of nonhuman life forms. The limitation of identification in degree and scope means that non-anthropocentric environmental ethics may be formed in a limited sense.

Abstract:Primitive people, in their initial struggle for existence, must have found Nature to be a formidable force to reckon with. Our ancestors eked out their means of survival from the abundant bounties of the ancient world with the meager tools at their disposal and sometimes tried to placate Nature by worshipping her. The earth was a rich mother and the needs of the early people were few. With time the ever increasing demands of humankind were matched by their growing power to wreak destruction and havoc. They destroyed forests and dug into the earth with unrestricted abandon in the quest of greater wealth and enjoyment, slaughtered every type of life for food and even for the mere pleasure of killing. Human beings remain the only predator that kills the young adults of a species, damaging the reproductive capital of the latter. Philosophers have argued against the wanton destruction of the earth’s resources. That these warnings have been largely ignored is apparent in the danger signs that have started to raise a question mark on the future of life on this planet. Therefore, these ethical theories are needed to be analyzing in a pragmatic point of view of their applications. The tendency of the theories is to concentrate on the former and take the latter for granted. This creates a gap between knowledge and application of environmental ethics. There must be some aspects other than worldviews that affects human behavior. We proceed with a pragmatic theory of ethics which takes into account the practical aspects and strengthen it further with a psychological probe into the aspects responsible for creating the gap.
