An Analysis on Vocational Personality Characteristics of People with Orthopedic Impairments in Beijing

Abstract:In this study,about 1,200 subjects with orthopedic impairments aged from 17 to 59 years old are sampled from eight districts of Beijing including Chaoyang,Chongwen,and so on.The self-made Vocational Personality Scale for the Orthopedic Impairments is used to investigate the vocational personality characteristics of the people with orthopedic impairments.The results show that the emotional stability and enduring-frustration ability of the people with orthopedic impairments in Beijing are the strongest,the social ability,persistence,preciseness and self-confidence are the second,the ability of management and responsibility are the weakest.The persistence,emotional stability and enduring-frustration ability of the people with orthopedic impairments increase with growth,while the ability of management decreases with growth.The persistence,selfconfidence and responsibility of the males with orthopedic impairments are remarkably stronger than those of the females,while there is no significant difference of preciseness,emotional stability,social ability,ability of management and enduring-frustration ability in gender.
