Abstract:In order to observe the influences of aflatoxin B1(AFTB1) on serum antioxidant function in ducklings and investigate the antagonistic effect of compound traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) on AFTB1.Seven-day-old ducklings were used as experimental animals. All animals were divided into three groups with 30 animals each. The ducklings of groupⅠwere only administered in the same volume of DMSO with the other group as control.Group Ⅱ,Ⅲ were administered intragastrically in AFTB1 at a dose of 0.1mg/kg body weight respectively, and group III was fed on mixed diet added in 2% TCM.All treatments were given once daily during 7-28 day-old.The total-antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),superoxide dismutase(SOD),satalase(CAT),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),glutathione reductase(GR) and malondialdehytra(MDA) in ducklings serum on 7th,14th,21th day after treatment. The results show that the activity of SOD,CAT,GSH-Px,GR and T-AOC significantly decreased in ducklings serum of group Ⅱ,Ⅲ compared with groupⅠ(P<0.05),and the level of MDA significantly increased(P<0.05).It showed a significant improvements in serum antioxidant function in ducklings of TCM treated group Ⅲ compared with groupⅡ(P<0.05).The results revealed that TCM could ameliorate the ducklings serum antioxidant function change induced by aflatoxin B1.
