Abstract:Diabetes during perinatal period may be divided into pregestational diabetes(women previously diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes) and gestational diabetes (any glucose intolerance detected during pregnancy).Both of them can exert adverse effect on mother and infants.Hyperglycemia during perinatal period can increase the occurrence of pregnancy-induced hypertension,polyhydra-mnios and cesarean section in the mother as well as fetal anomaly and large for date infant in children.The correct treatment of perinatal pathoglycemia has great significance in reducing the maternal and fetal complication and decreasing fetal mortality during perinatal period.
