Water Environment Characteristics and Water Protection Measures in Zhaocun Reservoir

Abstract:Based on the past twenty years＇ hydrologic data and the water quality materials from the year 2005 to 2010,this article studies the water environment changes of reservoir type water source and the water quality protection countermeasures.Through the analysis,it is found out that the water quality of Zhaocun reservoir had obviously been declining from 2005 to 2010.With the increase of the rainfall,great area-source pollution had been brought to the reservoir water.The increase of rainfall runoff had had different influences on the reservoir＇s major pollutants-TN and TP.The increase of the rainfall runoff has a dilution effect on TN,while the TP concentration will increase.In this paper,the countermeasures of the water quality protection in Zhaocun reservoir have also been put forward,which include agricultural area-source pollution control;life area-source pollution reduction;strengthening ecological construction and carrying out ecological engineering;establishing and improving the management system,clearing up responsibility and integrating management;enhancing the promotion of water resource protection consciousness among the mass.
