Abstract:Under the background of "double first-class" construction, the teaching staff, as the foundation of the construction of colleges and universities, determines the overall construction effect of colleges and universities.High-level teachers are the guarantee of talent cultivation, education and teaching, scientific research and competitiveness of colleges and universities.However, the improvement of teachers' quality is affected by many factors, which leads to teachers' choices that affect their overall performance when facing teaching and scientific research tasks.In view of this, this study attempts to determine the relationship between professional ability, incentive mechanism and career satisfaction in Chinese universities and colleges, and to propose ways to improve teacher quality.A total of 400 valid questionnaires were collected in this study, and SPSS 26.0 software was used for descriptive analysis, variance analysis and regression analysis.The results show that there is a positive correlation between professional ability, incentive mechanism and teacher satisfaction in Chinese universities.This means that the stronger the professional ability of teachers, the better the incentive mechanism, the higher the satisfaction of teachers, and the corresponding improvement of teacher quality.Through this research, universities may encourage and support the training and professional development of young teachers.This will help balance the age structure of the teaching force and provide more development opportunities for young teachers.As teachers themselves, they may continuously improve their level of professional ability, including teaching and academic ability, and formulate their own career plans in order to adapt to the constant changes in society.Regular teacher training programs should be established to help enhance their professional competence, while salaries and benefits should be improved to better motivate teachers.

Abstract:Teaching-quality assessment is a significant content in teaching management of universities and colleges. There are some aspects should be improved in teaching-quality assessment that performed by students mainly. Firstly, the assessment content should be much more integrity and couldn't be localized to teachers' level assessment. Secondly, deviation and errors may be produced due to the characteristics difference of courses. And thirdly, the validity and reliability of the assessing data couldn' t be assured. In order to overcome these drawbacks, this paperproposes a new assessment system and introduces a series of methods to guarantee the validity and reliabilty of data for assessment.

Abstract:The introduction of Outcomes-based Education (OBE) in College English teaching can help to carry out student-oriented education. The OBE teaching method is guided by students' learning outcomes, and it can feedback the continuous improvement. Based on the OBE teaching concept, this paper presents a continuous improvement method for college English teaching based on quantitative analysis of course objective achievement. Based on this method, the teaching effect of College English can be evaluated quantitatively, and weaknesses in teaching can be found to implement a closed-loop of continuous improvement. The methods presented in this paper can improve the quantitative evaluation methods of College English teaching quality and provide strong support for the continuous improvement of College English teaching. Abstract:This article, which is based on the requirements for developing the course of Genetics as an outstanding course, summarizes the experience of engendering an excellent instructional system, expatiates on the effects of its application to the teaching process of "Genetics" and next step work for continuing this instructional system. The course quality of "Genetics" has been improved under the excellent instructional system by including different teaching methods, renovating the teaching contents, innovating the teaching means, developing a practical courseware, writing extractive textbooks, reforming experimental teaching, and constructing an instructional network, together with teaching methods related to scientific research.

Abstract:The quality of course design has been a significant concern in the reform of higher education. The compe-tency of instructional designers played an important role in improving teaching efficacy and students’ achievements. However, empirical studies on college teachers’ instructional design competency are scarce. Based on theoretical ana-lyses and experts’ consultations, this project was to develop a questionnaire to explore college teachers’ instructional design competency. The questionnaire consists of five dimensions:designing instructional objectives;designing instruc-tional contents;instructional implementation;front-end analysis and instructional evaluation. In addition, the study also investigated college teachers’ instructional cognitive ability and knowledge system. The study intended to learn how much college teachers know about the instructional design competency and what potential factors influence the de-velopment of the instructional design expertise. The study was a random survey among the universities in Zhejiang and Shanghai. Total 192 valid responses are collected via electronic and printed questionnaires. Upon variance, relevance and regression analysis, the key finding is:To some extent, the overall level of college teachers’ instructional design competency is unsatisfactory. Although the competency of instructional implementation is sufficient, the competency of instructional evaluation need to be developed. The noticeable difference between the novices and experts are in areas of designing instructional contents and instructional objectives. College teachers’ instructional cognitive abilities have in-fluential impacts on their instructional design competency. In addition, college teachers’ knowledge system can par-tially predict their development of competency of instructional design. In conclusion, the study attempted to provide the following suggestions to teachers and educators. There is an im-balance in five defined areas of college teachers’ instructional design competency. Especially, teachers’ competency in instructional evaluations need to be strengthened urgently. The administration should emphasize customized profession-al development and targeted training based on teacher’ s experience and professional status. Professional development should incorporate a real-world environment for the instructional design training. Scaffolding in a supportive learning community might be an effective approach to the development of teachers’ instructional design competency as well.

Abstract:The teaching quality evaluation system of "Ideological and Political Theories Teaching in All Courses" is far from perfect, as the appraisal content is unitary, and the appraisal method become too rigid. The evaluation system of teaching quality is quite an important mechanism and "baton" to promote the teaching quality of " Ideological and Political Theories Teaching in All Courses ". Abstract:With the changes of the times, China has made remarkable achievements in economic, political, social, cultural, and education can improve the comprehensive quality of the people, enhancing the country's comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness effect. China has importance to education, and in recent years has increased its investment in education. Higher education undertakes important functions such as cultivating talents, scientific research, and serving the society. It is an indispensable part of the education system, and these are closely related to the teaching staff of colleges. The development of quality education is an inevitable choice to promote it, an important way to implement it with morality, and promoting it of national governance capabilities. At present, there are four major problems in quality education in colleges: the marginalization of status, fuzzy goals, segmentation of content, and isolation of development paths. It is important to study and explore new ideas and strategies for promoting quality education. Nowadays, colleges are no longer the "ivory towers" of the past, and the construction of college teachers has also undergone many changes compared with the past. The topics and discussions about college teachers are increasing day by day, and the problems and confusion exposed to them have also aroused the attention of the society. Young teachers are the fresh blood of college teachers and the future of our country. It is particularly meaningful to study and understand the current professional development of these groups. The research object is the young teachers in colleges. Through the literature research method, it analyzes the status of the professional quality education in colleges, understands the problems existing in their professional development, analyzes the reasons, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures. Abstract:After more than 20 years of exploring liberal arts education in Chinese universities, its curriculum development has been institutionalized. Efforts to build localized curricula that fit the realities at each institution have shifted from focusing on quantity and structure to emphasizing curriculum quality assurance based on teaching evaluation by students. An empirical analysis using Fudan University’s teaching evaluation data shows that some liberal arts core courses offered by technical and engineering departments are too specialized, while some offered by social sciences and humanities and languages departments lack rigor. Student evaluations of such courses therefore tend to be low. Improving the quality of liberal arts courses can begin by examining both teaching evaluations by students and course grading, starting with the less rigorous courses for non-majors. Improving the quality of liberal arts courses can begin with the courses that are too specialized or lacking rigor based on both teaching evaluations by students and grade distribution.

Abstract:In this paper, practical strategies are proposed to improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges. Research and analyses have shown that the key to improving the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges lies in the improvement of professionalism, subject knowledge, and teaching ability. Thus, the following practical strategies are proposed: strengthen teachers’ moral development, establish a teacher training system, focus on curriculum construction and teaching method innovation, and strengthen the teaching quality monitoring and evaluation mechanism. These measures can effectively improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges and promote the development of higher vocational education.
