Abstract:The traditional physic-chemical and biological methods for treating wastewater containing zinc are summarized and the research development is also described.Bio-immobilized technology process is a new and effective bio-technology,especially the immobilized technology of sulfate reducing bacteria,in which anaerobic activated sludge is entrapped and a stable and effective microbial system is constructed to strengthen its toxicity and treatment efficiency.Therefore this technology has a bright future in treating wastewater containing zinc and can be widely used.
