Diagnostic Value of Fibroscan in Hepatic Fibrosis

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of Fibroscan(FS) in hepatic fibrosis.Methods:68 patients were detected by FS and liver biopsy.Liver stiffness measurement(LSM) was used to indicate the liver hardness.Receiver operating characteristic curves(ROC) were constructed to show the diagnostic power of FS.Results: The sensitivity and specificity of FS was 83.33%(45/54) and 62.28%(9/14) respectively in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis(S0/S1-4);the diagnostic accordance rate was 73.53%(50/68).When FS was used to diagnose severe fibrosis(S3-4/S0-2),the sensitivity was 63.33%(19/30);the specificity was 81.58%(31/58);the diagnostic accordance rate was 73.52%(50/68).When FS was used to diagnose hepatocirrhosis,the sensitivity was 66.67%(8/12);the specificity was 89.29(50/56);the diagnostic accordance rate was 85.29%(58/68).Conclusions: FS is valuable for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis.
