Abstract:Cai Yuanpei and Walter Gropius,both educators,principals,and pioneers,had greatly influenced their own nations and even the world.Although their areas of academic research are different,they lived in the same historical period and shared a lot in terms of education theory and talents cultivation.Through a comparative study of their life experience,personal charm,and educational thought,the author of this paper advances that educational leaders should possess the spirit of the time and enterprise awareness.With their broad vision and knowledge,they should exert to construct an environment of academic independence and freedom of thought so that more talents with the spirit of the time,social responsibility,academic expertise,and professional skills will be produced.
