Abstract:The objective of this study was conducted to observe and evaluate the anesthetic effects of ketamine combined with midazolam in immunodeficient mice.Nude mice and NOD/SCID mice were anesthetized with combined anesthetic agent by celiac injection,which was composed of ketamine and midazolam.The induction time,surgical anesthesia time and resuscitation time were observed.The results revealed that ketamine combined with midazolam had an better anesthetic effect in nude mice than NOD/SCID mice.Shorter induction time,quicker reaction time and resuscitation,a dose-dependent manner characterized the combined anesthesia agent in nude mice.However,NOD/SCID mice with different ages could be died by using different dose combined anesthetic agent.In conclusions:ketamine combined with midazolam appears to be an ideal anesthetic method and it is fit for short-time anesthesia in nude mice,but don't be recommended for use in NOD/SCID mice.
