New ent-kaurane diterpenes with chiral epoxyangelate moieties from Wedelia prostrata

Abstract:Four new ent-kaurane diterpenes, which contain (2′R,3′R)-/(2′S,3′S)-/(2′S,3′R)-/(2′R,3′S)-2′,3′-epoxyangeloyloxy moieties, along with eight known ones, were isolated from the herbs of Wedelia prostrata. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic data, X-ray crystallography, ECD calculation and chemical methods.
