METHODS The data of 19 patients who underwent robotic-assisted laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation from March 2016 to July 2017 in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University Medical School were collected and analyzed. A clear exposure of the tumor location was made and the RFA procedure was supervised by the real-time ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasonograph during the RFA. Ice saline was pumped into ureteral catheter to cool the collecting system for patients whose tumor adjoined the collecting system. The postoperative serum creatinine and the hemoglobin (Hb) data were collected and all patients were followed up with enhanced CT or MRI RESULTS All the 19 patients underwent the robotic-assisted laparoscopic RFA successfully. The operation time ranged 61 to 172 minutes and the median time was 103 minutes while the ablation time ranged 6 to 36 minutes and median time was 17 minutes. There was no significant statistic difference between the postoperative SCr and the hemoglobin (Hb) and the preoperative level (Scr: 0.86±0.24 vs 0.90±0.19 mg/dl, p=0.136; Hb: 129.1±20.0 vs 125.3±22.3 g/L, p=0.437). No evidences of tumor residual and locally recurrence were detected by the imageological examination. CONCLUSIONS Robotic-assisted laparoscopic RFA could be performed safely and effectively, especially in patients with solitary kidney or polycystic kidney. The real-time ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasonograph made the ablation more accurate © 2018FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Volume 199Issue 4SApril 2018Page: e1153 Advertisement Copyright & Permissions© 2018MetricsAuthor Information Yang Yang More articles by this author Xiaozhi Zhao More articles by this author Hongqian Guo More articles by this author Expand All Advertisement Advertisement PDF downloadLoading ...
