Abstract:In this paper, we establish some sharp estimates of Bessel integrals with oscillatory factors e(i atr). As an application, we obtain the L-2(R-n) boundedness of the oscillatory singular integral operators with variable kernels.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to $L^2$ estimates for trilinear oscillatory integrals of convolution type on $\mathbb{R}^2$. The phases in the oscillatory factors include smooth functions and polynomials. We shall establish sharp $L^2$ decay estimates of trilinear oscillatory integrals with smooth phases, and then give $L^2$ uniform estimates for these integrals with polynomial phases.

Oscillatory integral operators and variable Schrödinger propagators: beyond the universal estimates

Abstract:We consider a class of Hörmander-type oscillatory integral operators in $\mathbb{R}^n$ for $n \geq 3$ odd with real analytic phase. We derive weak conditions on the phase which ensure $L^p$ bounds beyond the universal $p \geq 2 \cdot \frac{n+1}{n-1}$ range guaranteed by Stein's oscillatory integral theorem. This expands and elucidates pioneering work of Bourgain from the early 1990s. We also consider a closely related class of variable coefficient Schrödinger propagator-type operators, and show that the corresponding theory differs significantly from that of the Hörmander-type operators. The main ingredient in the proof is a curved Kakeya/Nikodym maximal function estimate. This is established by combining the polynomial method with certain uniform sublevel set estimates for real analytic functions. The sublevel set estimates are the main novelty in the argument and can be interpreted as a form of quantification of linear independence in the $C^{\omega}$ category.

On sharp variational inequalities for oscillatory integral operators of Stein-Wainger type

Abstract:For any integer $n \geq 2$, we establish $L^p(\R^n)$ inequalities for the $r$-variations of Stein-Wainger type oscillatory integral operators with general radial phase functions. These inequalities closely related to Carleson's theorem are sharp, up to endpoints. In particular, when the phase function is chosen as $|t|^\A$ with $\A\in (0,1)$, our results provide an affirmative answer to a question posed in Guo-Roos-Yung (Anal. PDE, 2020). In pursuit of the objective, we use an approach incorporating the method of stationary phase, a square function estimate derived from Seeger's arguments, Stein-Tomas restriction estimates, and a crucial observation enabling the derivation of useful decay estimates near endpoints. Furthermore, we obtain the restricted weak type estimates for endpoints in the specific case of homogeneous phase functions. As an application of these outcomes, we further extend analogous results to a class of ergodic integral operators.

Abstract:The boundedness on Triebel-Lizorkin spaces of oscillatory singular integral operator T in the form e i|x| aΩ(x)|x|−n is studied, where a∈)R, a≠0,1 and Ω≠L 1(Sn−1) is homogeneous of degree zero and satisfies certain cancellation condition. When kernel Ω(x′≠)Llog+ L(Sn−1), the $\dot F_p^{\alpha ,q} (R^n )$ boundedness of the above operator is obtained. Meanwhile, when Ω(x) satisfies L 1-Dini condition, the above operator T is bounded on $\dot F_1^{0,1} (R^n )$.

Abstract:In this article, two methods for evaluating highly oscillatory Bessel integrals are explored. Firstly, a polynomial is analyzed as an effective approximation of the simplex integral of a highly oscillatory Bessel function based on Laplace transform, and its error rapidly decreases as the frequency increases. Furthermore, the inner product of f and highly oscillatory Bessel function can be approximated by two other forms of inner product by which one depends on a polynomial and the higher derivatives of f , another depends on Bessel function and the interpolation polynomial of f . In addition, three issues related to highly oscillatory Bessel integrals have also been discussed: inequalities for the convergence rate of Filon-type methods, evaluation of Cauchy principal values, and simplified evaluation on infinite intervals. Through some preliminary numerical experiments, our theoretical analysis has been preliminarily confirmed, and the proposed numerical method is accurate and effective.

Abstract:We obtain sharp L^p bounds for oscillatory integral operators with generic homogeneous polynomial phases in several variables. The phases considered in this paper satisfy the rank one condition which is an important notion introduced by Greenleaf, Pramanik and Tang. Under certain additional assumptions, we can establish sharp damping estimates with critical exponents to prove endpoint L^p estimates.

Abstract:The singular integral operator J Ω,α , and the Marcinkiewicz integral operator $\tilde \mu _{\Omega .\alpha } $ are studied. The kernels of the operators behave like |y|-n-α(a>0) near the origin, and contain an oscillating factor ei|y|-β (β>0) and a distribution ω on the unit sphere S n−1. It is proved that, if ω is in the Hardy space H r (S n−1) with 00), and satisfies certain cancellation condition, then T Ω,α and $\overline u _{\Omega ,\alpha } $ extend the bounded operator from Sobolev space L γ ρ to Lebesgue space L p for some p. The result improves and extends some known results.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish an improved variable coefficient version of square function inequality, by which the local smoothing estimate $L^p_\alpha\rightarrow L^p$ for the Fourier integral operators satisfying cinematic curvature condition is further improved. In particular, we establish almost sharp results for $2<p\leq 3$ and push forward the estimate for the critical point $p=4$. As a consequence, the local smoothing estimate for the wave equation on the manifold is refined. We generalize the results in \cite{LeVa12, Le18P} to its variable coefficient counterpart. The main ingredients in the argument includes multilinear oscillatory integral estimate \cite{BCT06} and decoupling inequality \cite{BelHicSog18P}.

Abstract:We prove a bilinear $L^2(\R^d) \times L^2(\R^d) \to L^2(\R^{d+1})$ estimate for a pair of oscillatory integral operators with different asymptotic parameters and phase functions satisfying a transversality condition. This is then used to prove a bilinear refinement to Strichartz estimates on closed manifolds, similar to that on $\R^d$, but at a relevant semi-classical scale. These estimates will be employed elsewhere to prove global well-posedness below $H^1$ for the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation on closed surfaces.
