Abstract:The first total synthesis of the indole alkaloids mollenines A and B with the diketomorpholine skeleton has been accomplished in 9 and 10 steps with an overall yield of 11.4% and 9.3%, respectively. The absolute stereochemistry of the two natural products was corrected.
