Abstract:•The influence of short-term thermal experience on objective parameters, subjective evaluations have been confirmed.•With the short-term thermal experience, the variation of skin temperature and thermal evaluations have been described.•Comfort produced in the elimination of uncomfortable.•The influence of short-term thermal experience in cold or hot conditions is asymmetry.•Two methods for the prediction of thermal sensation have been proposed, one used the measured mean skin temperature, and the other used the calculated heat loss.
