Abstract:In a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending platform, due to the conflict between information disclosure and privacy protection, each participant needs to form an opinion and decide how much personal information to disclose. The opinions of participants are also influenced by their social relationship. In this paper, we establish a game model of information disclosure by introducing a weighted social network into the utility function of participants. First, we prove that there exists a unique Nash equilibrium of the game by using potential game tool, and quantify the performance of a P2P lending platform. Second, each participant dynamically changes its opinion according to interactions with others since participants cannot reach a stable opinion in a single round. Thus, we use computational experiments to simulate the dynamic changes of participants' opinions in a P2P lending platform. Experimental results show that opinions of participants will converge to a concentrated numerical range although the initial opinion of each participant is stochastic. Furthermore, considering the inactivity and short-sightedness characters of participants, we conduct other experiments to illustrate the influence factors of opinions.
