Abstract:In this paper, we discuss the Weyl problem in warped product spaces. We apply the method of continuity and prove the openness of the Weyl problem. A counterexample is constructed to show that the isometric embedding of the sphere with canonical metric is not unique up to an isometry if the ambient warped product space is not a space form. Then, we study the rigidity of the standard sphere if we fixed its geometric center in the ambient space. Finally, we discuss a Shi-Tam type of inequality for the Schwarzschild manifold as an application of our findings.

Abstract:In this paper, we calculate the Chern–Simons invariants on some 3-manifolds (e.g., Berger Sphere, warped product 3-manifolds) which obtain particular features in physics. We present the condition such that Berger sphere and warped product 3-manifolds are locally conformally flat. We also give a sufficient and necessary condition such that the warped product 3-manifolds can be isometrically immersed in ℝ^4 . The latter condition is different from those in the earlier works of others.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish two families of sharp geometric inequalities for closed hypersurfaces in space forms or other warped product manifolds. Both families of inequalities compare three distinct geometric quantities. The first family concerns the $k$-th boundary momentum, area, and weighted volume, and has applications to Weinstock-type inequalities for Steklov or Wentzell eigenvalues on star-shaped mean convex domains. This generalizes the main results of [12]. The second family involves a weighted $k$-th mean curvature integral and two distinct quermassintegrals and extends the authors' recent work [33] with G. Wheeler and V.-M. Wheeler.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a class of weighted isoperimetric inequalities for bounded domains in hyperbolic space by using the isoperimetric inequality with log-convex density in Euclidean space. As a consequence, we remove the horo-convex assumption of domains in a weighted isoperimetric inequality proved by Scheuer-Xia. Furthermore, we prove weighted isoperimetric inequalities for star-shaped domains in warped product manifolds. Particularly, we obtain a weighted isoperimetric inequality for star-shaped hypersurfaces lying outside a certain radial coordinate slice in the anti-de Sitter-Schwarzschild manifold.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the isoperimetric inequality for the anisotropic Gaussian measure and characterize the cases of equality. We also find an example that shows Ehrhard symmetrization fails to decrease for the anisotropic Gaussian perimeter and gives a new inequality that includes an error term. This new inequality, in particular, gives us a hint to prove a uniqueness result for the anisotropic Ehrhard symmetrization.

We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for weighted Orlicz-Poincaré inequalities in product spaces. These results follow the work of Chua and Wheeden, who established similar results for weighted Poincaré inequalities in product spaces.

Abstract:Motivated by the quasi-local mass problem in general relativity, we study the rigidity of isometric immersions with the same mean curvature into a warped product space. As a corollary of our main result, two star-shaped hypersurfaces in a spatial Schwarzschild or AdS-Schwarzschild manifold with nonzero mass differ only by a rotation if they are isometric and have the same mean curvature. We also prove similar results if the mean curvature condition is replaced by an σ2-curvature condition.

We give some characterizations of slice {r} x N by the condition that Sigma has constant weighted higher-order mean curvatures (lambda ')(alpha)p(k), or constant weighted higher-order mean curvature ratio (lambda ')(alpha)p(k)/p(1), which generalize Brendle's [Constant mean curvature surfaces in warped product manifolds, Publ. Math. Inst. Hautes Etudes Sci. 117 (2013) 247-269] and Brendle-Eichmair's [Isoperimetric and Weingarten surfaces in the Schwarzschild manifold, J. Differential Geom. 94(3) (2013) 387-407] results. In particular, we show that the assumption convex of Brendle-Eichmair's result [Isoperimetric and Weingarten surfaces in the Schwarzschild manifold, J. Differential Geom. 94(3) (2013) 387-407] is unnecessary. Here p(k) is the kth normalized mean curvature of the hypersurface S. As a special case, we also give some characterizations of geodesic spheres in R-n, H-n and S-+(n), which generalize the classical Alexandrov-type results.

Abstract:We prove a Minkowski type inequality for weakly mean convex and star-shaped hypersurfaces in warped cylinders which are asymptotically flat or hyperbolic. In particular, we show that this sharp inequality holds for outward minimizing hypersurfaces in the Schwarzschild manifold or the hyperbolic space using the weak solution of the inverse mean curvature flow.

Abstract:This article investigates the geometric and topologic of warped product submanifolds in Riemannian warped product Q ε m × R . In this respect, we obtain the first Chen inequality that involves extrinsic invariants like the length of the warping functions and the mean curvature. This inequality involves two intrinsic invariants (sectional curvature and δ -invariant). In addition, an integral bound is provided for the Bochner operator formula of compact warped product submanifolds in terms of the Ricci curvature gradient. We aim to apply this theory to many structures and obtain Dirichlet eigenvalues for problem applications. Some new results regarding the vanishing mean curvature are presented as a partial solution, and this can be considered for the well-known problem given by Chern.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the closed eigenvalue problem on hypersurfaces evolving under the inverse mean curvature flow (IMCF) in <math>Rn+1</math>, prove that the first nonzero eigenvalue of p-Laplacian <math>(p>1)</math> is non-increasing along this flow, and find an interesting monotone quantity associated with the eigenvalue along the rescaled IMCF. Finally, using a new pinching condition preserved along the IMCF, the isoperimetric lower bound for this eigenvalue is determined.

Abstract:In the present paper, we prove the a priori bounds and existence of smooth solutions to a Minkowski type problem for the log-concave measure $ e^{-f(|x|^2)}dx $ in warped product space forms with zero sectional curvature. Our proof is based on the method of continuity. The crucial factor of the analysis is the a priori bounds of an auxiliary Monge-Ampère equation on $ \mathbb{S}^n $. The main result of the present paper extends the Minkowski type problem of log-concave measures to the space forms and it may be an attempt to get some new analysis for the log-concave measures.

Abstract:In this research paper, we establish geometric inequalities that characterize the relationship between the squared mean curvature and the warping functions of a doubly warped product pointwise bi-slant submanifold. Our investigation takes place in the context of locally conformal almost cosymplectic manifolds, which are equipped with a quarter-symmetric metric connection. Abstract:We investigate properties of measures in infinite dimensional spaces in terms of Poincaré inequalities. A Poincaré inequality states that the $L^2$ variance of an admissible function is controlled by the homogeneous $H^1$ norm. In the case of Loop spaces, it was observed by L. Gross that the homogeneous $H^1$ norm alone may not control the $L^2$ norm and a potential term involving the end value of the Brownian bridge is introduced. Aida, on the other hand, introduced a weight on the Dirichlet form. We show that Aida's modified Logarithmic Sobolev inequality implies weak Logarithmic Sobolev Inequalities and weak Poincaré inequalities with precise estimates on the order of convergence. The order of convergence in the weak Sobolev inequalities are related to weak $L^1$ estimates on the weight function. This and a relation between Logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and weak Poincaré inequalities lead to a Poincaré inequality on the loop space over certain manifolds.

Abstract:We introduce sequential warped product submanifolds of Kaehler manifolds, provide examples and establish Chen's inequality for such submanifolds. The equality case is also studied. Moreover, by inspiring Lawson and Simons's integral currrent's theorem on a submanifold, we find a similar pinching inequality for a sequential warped product submanifold and obtain geometric results when the equality case is satisfied.
