Abstract:The subject of q -analysis, which is popularly known as quantum analysis , has its roots in such important areas as (for example) Mathematical Physics, Analytic Number Theory, and the Theory of Partitions. Our present investigation is motivated essentially by the potential for applications of q -series and q -polynomials, especially the basic (or q -) and bibasic hypergeometric functions and the corresponding hypergeometric polynomials. The main object of this paper is to investigate the Bailey transform, the Bailey pair and the WP-Bailey pair of sequences and some of their applications in order to establish a number transformation formulas for q -hypergeometric series as well as bi-basic hypergeometric series, together with several other related q -series identities.

Abstract:A large number of summation and transformation formulas for a certain class of double hypergeometric series are observed here to follow fairly readily from a single known result which, in turn, is a very special case of one of six general expansion formulas given in the literature. Generalizations and unifications of these expansion formulas involving series with essentially arbitrary terms are presented. It is also shown how the various series transformations considered in this paper admit themselves of q-extensions which are capable of unifying numerous scattered results in the theory of basic double hypergeometric functions.

Abstract:We study the mass spectrum and the eigenstates of the scalar sectors in 3-3-1 models. We show that, in one of the models, the physical scalar masses lead to theoretical constraints to the vacuum expectation values. The models allow very light Higgs bosons. One of the neutral scalars can be identified with the standard model one.

Abstract:The well-known classical summation theorems due to Dougall and certain transformation formulas due to Whipple and Bailey for very well-poised hypergeometric functions are extended by introducing two additional pairs of numerator and denominator parameters with unit differences. These results have been derived with the help of well-known Bailey’s transform and a recently added extension of the Saalschütz theorem in the literature. The special cases of the results are shown to give some contiguous and parameters with integer differences type extensions of numerous hypergeometric summations. Applications of the results to a number of very interesting and general summations for Ramanujan type series involving $\pi $ and some other constants are also discussed.
Expansion formulas for elliptic hypergeometric series

Abstract:We provide an alternate approach to obtaining expansion formulas on the lines of the well-poised Bailey lemma. We recover results due to Spiridonov and Warnaar and one new formula of this type. These formulas contain an arbitrary sequence as an argument, and are thus flexible in the number of parameters they contain. As a result, we are able to derive $19$ new transformation formulas for elliptic hypergeometric series. These transformation formulas appear to be new even in the basic hypergeometric case, when $p=0$.

Abstract:We obtain extensions of classical hypergeometric identities of Bailey and Whipple that transform nearly-poised and very-well-poised series to Saalschützian series, Saalschützian series to Saalschützian series, and very-well-poised and nearly-poised series to very-well-poised series. We employ a method in which summations and transformations of lower-order series are used to obtain transformations of higher-order series. By taking limits, we also obtain extensions of two classical quadratic transformations of Whipple and Bailey. Furthermore, we show how a number of other well-known results regarding hypergeometric series follow as special cases of our results.

Abstract:Some multiple hypergeometric transformation formulas arising from the balanced du- ality transformation formula are discussed through the symmetry. Derivations of some transformation formulas with different dimensions are given by taking certain limits of the balanced duality transformation. By combining some of them, some transformation formulas for $A_n$ basic hypergeometric series is given. They include some generalizations of Watson, Sears and ${}_8 W_7$ transformations.

Abstract:The main object of this paper is to present several (presumably new) transformations of series whose terms involve basic (orq-) Pochhammer symbols together with an essentially arbitrary factor. Each of these generalq-series transformations is shown to be related rather closely to a certain basic hypergeometric summation or transformation formula. Relevant connections of many of the multipleq-series transformations with various known results are also considered briefly.

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce a general family of $q$-hypergeometric polynomials and investigate several $q$-series identities such as an extended generating function and a Srivastava-Agarwal type bilinear generating function for this family of $q$-hypergeometric polynomials. We give a transformational identity involving generating functions for the generalized $q$-hypergeometric polynomials which we have introduced here. We also point out relevant connections of the various $q$-results, which we investigate here, with those in several related earlier works on this subject. We conclude this paper by remarking that it will be a rather trivial and inconsequential exercise to give the so-called $(p,q)$-variations of the $q$-results, which we have investigated here, because the additional parameter $p$ is obviously redundant.

Abstract:The main object of the present paper is to show how some fairly general analytical tools and techniques can be applied with a view to deriving summation, transformation and reduction formulas for multiple hypergeometric and multiple basic (or q -) hypergeometric series. By making use of some reduction formulas for multivariable hypergeometric functions, the authors investigate several closed-form evaluations of various families of multiple hypergeometric and q -hypergeometric series. Relevant connections of the results presented in this paper with those obtained in earlier works are also considered. A number of multiple q -series identities, which are developed in this paper, are observed to be potentially useful in the related problems involving closed-form evaluations of multivariable q -hypergeometric functions.

Abstract:Various families of such Special Functions as the hypergeometric functions of one, two and more variables, and their associated summation, transformation and reduction formulas, are potentially useful not only as solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations, but also in the widespread problems in the mathematical, physical, engineering and statistical sciences. The main object of this paper is first to establish four general double-series identities, which involve some suitably-bounded sequences of complex numbers, by using zero-balanced terminating hypergeometric summation theorems for the generalized hypergeometric series r+1Fr(1) (r = 1, 2, 3) in conjunction with the series rearrangement technique. The sum (or difference) of two general double hypergeometric functions of the Kamp? de F?riet type are then obtained in terms of a generalized hypergeometric function under appropriate convergence conditions. A closed form of the following Clausen hypergeometric function: 3F2 (?27z/4(1?z)3) and a reduction formula for the Srivastava-Daoust double hypergeometric function with the arguments (z,?z/4 ) are also derived. Many of the reduction formulas, which are established in this paper, are verified by using the software program, Mathematica. Some potential directions for further researches along the lines of this paper are also indicated.

Abstract:Our investigation is motivated essentially by the demonstrated applications of the basic (or q-) series and basic (or q-) polynomials, especially the basic (or q-) hypergeometric functions and basic (or q-) hypergeometric polynomials, in many diverse areas. Here, in this paper, we use two q-operators T(a,b,c,d,e,yDx) and E(a,b,c,d,e,y theta x) to derive two potentially useful generalizations of the q-binomial theorem, a set of two extensions of the q-Chu-Vandermonde summation formula and two new generalizations of the Andrews-Askey integral by means of the q-difference equations. We also briefly describe relevant connections of various special cases and consequences of our main results with a number of known results.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish three new and general transformations with sixteen parameters and bases via Abel's lemma on summation by parts. As applications, we set up a lot of new transformations of basic hypergeometric series. Among include some new results of Gasper and Rahman's quadratic, cubic, and quartic transformations. Furthermore, we put forward the so-called $(R,S)$-type transformation with arbitrary degree to unify such multibasic transformations. Some special $(R,S)$-type transformations are presented.

Abstract:In the first part of this paper we prove a conjecture of Hikami on the values of the radial limits of a family of $q$-hypergeometric false theta functions. Hikami conjectured that the radial limits are obtained by evaluating a truncated version of the series. He proved a special case of his conjecture by computing the Kashaev invariant of certain torus links in two different ways. We prove the full conjecture using Bailey pairs. In the second part of the paper we show how the framework of Bailey pairs leads to further results of this type.

Abstract:Lucy Slater used Bailey's $_6\psi_6$ summation formula to derive the Bailey pairs she used to construct her famous list of 130 identities of the Rogers-Ramanujan type. In the present paper we apply the same techniques to Chu's $_{10}\psi_{10}$ generalization of Bailey's formula to produce quite general Bailey pairs. Slater's Bailey pairs are then recovered as special limiting cases of these more general pairs. In re-examining Slater's work, we find that her Bailey pairs are, for the most part, special cases of more general Bailey pairs containing one or more free parameters. Further, we also find new general Bailey pairs (containing one or more free parameters) which are also implied by the $_6\psi_6$ summation formula. Slater used the Jacobi triple product identity (sometimes coupled with the quintuple product identity) to derive her infinite products. Here we also use other summation formulae (including special cases of the $_6\psi_6$ summation formula and Jackson's $_6\phi_5$ summation formula) to derive some of our infinite products. We use the new Bailey pairs, and/or the summation methods mentioned above, to give new proofs of some general series-product identities due to Ramanujan, Andrews and others. We also derive a new general series-product identity, one which may be regarded as a partner to one of the Ramanujan identities. We also find new transformation formulae between basic hypergeometric series, new identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type, and new false theta series identities. Some of these latter are a kind of "hybrid" in that one side of the identity consists a basic hypergeometric series, while the other side is formed from a theta product multiplied by a false theta series. This type of identity appears to be new.

Abstract:In the realm of specialized functions, the allure of q -calculus beckons to many scholars, captivating them with its prowess in shaping models of quantum computing, noncommutative probability, combinatorics, functional analysis, mathematical physics, approximation theory, and beyond. This study explores a new idea called the multidimensional q -Hermite polynomials, using different q -calculus techniques. Numerous properties and novel findings regarding these polynomials are derived, encompassing their generating function, series representations, recurrence relations, q -differential formula, and operational principles. Further, we proved that these polynomials are quasi-monomial in q -aspect. As the applications, these findings are subsequently employed to address connection between the multidimensional q -Hermite polynomials and the two-variable q -Legendre polynomials for the first time. Various characterizations are examined, as well the graphical representations of the two-variable q -Legendre polynomials are provided by the surface plots and graphs of distribution of zeros for the q -Legendre polynomials with some specific set of parameters are shown using Mathematica. Our investigations shed light on the intricate nature of these polynomials, elucidating their behaviour and facilitating deeper understanding within the realm of q -calculus.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce two series expansions whose basis functions are two sequences of hypergeometric polynomials. We then present a systematic and detailed study of the general properties of each of these series expansions. We consider several illustrative examples to show the computational efficiency of our expansions in comparison to the usual Taylor series expansion. We also discuss some expansions of mixed types which are related to the results and assertions presented in this paper.
