Abstract:Mobile IP(MIP) based on IP layer offers a global mobility solution to support wireless Internet traffic.In this paper,to eliminate the triangle routing problem and minimize handoff latency,the route optimization extensions for Mobile IP(ROMIP) is complemented and the backward smooth handoff mechanism is utilized in Network Simulator(NS-2,Version: 2).Binding cache management messages(Binding Warning,BW;Binding Update,BU;Binding Request,BR;Binding Acknowledgement,BA,etc.) are introduced into the original NS-2 framework.Moreover,backward smooth handoff mechanism is used to minimize the handoff latency.The simulation results show that,compared with the standard Mobile IP protocol in ROMIP,the achieved bandwidth increases evidently while the end-to-end packet delay remains low.Owing to the implementation of smooth handoff,handoff latency is cut down more than 50%.Moreover,this method keeps transparent for hardware and convenient for software.The research provides a valuable and practical implementation method for real-time communication in Mobile IP network.

Abstract:Since the demand for mobile real-time application grows fast, the handoff efficiency of mobile IP becomes extraordinarily important. Seamless handoff requires that users and applications do not suffer loss of connectivity or any noticeable interruption in traffic during handoffs. In this paper, we present a seamless handoff scheme for mobile IP, which is especially suitable for large open indoor environments where more than one access points tend to overlap. By introducing a decision making entity which we term control engine, redesigning part of the layer 3 message exchange among communicating entities and utilizing a handoff decision algorithm with pure software-based movement tracking techniques, this novel scheme is able to eliminate handoff latency and packet loss which may have been noticed by a mobile node during handoffs completely. Network simulator-2 was employed to validate the feasibility of this scheme, and the result shows that the performance in terms of latency is eliminated completely. More importantly, this scheme is capable of providing handoff between foreign agents with no packet loss. While the throughput is kept at a relatively high level, the end-to-end delay from correspondent node to mobile node is reduced obviously

Abstract:The Mobile Internet is an integrated product of the traditional internet and mobile communications, and represents one of the most rapidly growing IT fields for the current and a long period of time.However, data show that the global mobile internet is still in its infancy, there exist many problems to be solved and clarified.This paper first outlines the basic concept of the mobile internet, including its definition, features, and architecture.Then, based on the current architecture, we discussed in detail the research status, problems, and solutions of its various components, including mobile terminals, access network, applications and services, as well as security and privacy.Finally, future research and development trends of cloud computing were discussed.

Abstract:A Model of Hierarchical Mobile IPv6(HMIPv6) mobility management was proposed to solve the problem of mobile node's bad performance when performing local movement within a domain.A new entity,mobile anchor point(MAP),functioning like a kind of router,was introduced in HMIPv6,which could reduce signaling between mobile node and the nodes outside the MAP domain.The theory of handover within MAP domain was discussed in detail.To test and analyze the performance of handover improved by adopting HMIPv6,a HMIPv6 testbed and a Mobile IPv6 testbed whose phisical network toplogy was similar to HMIPv6 testbed were set up.The experimental results show that HMIPv6 can extraordinarily improve the performance of handover within MAP domain.

At first, the paper analyzes the methods of Remote subscription and Home subscription, points out the latent problem in mobile ip protocol,and gives the methods of mobile multicast and multicast agent to solve mobile multicast problem, then compares delivery cost of multicast and delivery delay of multicast packets as well as disruption of multicast service due to mobility in four kinds of methods of mobile multicast.

Abstract:Mobile IP provides mobility support hosts connected to the Internet without changing their IP addresses.Along with the in-creasing of applications' requirement,Low-delay handoff of mobile IPv4 can't satisfied the needs at present.A new strategy that can obtain the better result to get low delay when node transfers from one subnet to another subnet is presented.First,foreign agents buffer packets for a mobile host and send them to its new location when it leaves to the new foreign agent.Second,foreign agents and home agents maintenance a table that records a mobile node's latest location and the foreign agents can send the packets on their buffer to which that node leaved to.The conclusion from implementing the strategy and analyzing procedure of the strategy manifests the reducing of the delay of packet handoff during low-delay handoff.

Abstract:With the integration of telecommunications network and Internet, mobile Internet is bound to rise. Mobile Internet brings not only high-quality business experience; but also enormous challenges to telecommunications. The current status and hierarchical structure of the mobile Internet are presented. Technological advances and market demand are promoting development of mobile Internet, and terminals, networks and businesses are three elements of the development of the mobile Internet. Mobile IP technique and related protocols are described systematically, which are designed to allow mobile terminal and the mobile sub-network to roam within the Internet. Then the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and its architectural framework are expounded, which are designed by (3GPP). The credible and reliable IP network architecture with Quality of Service (QoS) based oil IMS is discussed to meet the needs of the next generation of mobile Internet. Finally, the hotspots such as P2P/Multicast/Security are pointed out within the mobile Internet.

Abstract:The IETF Mobile IP protocol is a significant step towards enabling nomadic Internet users. It allows a mobile node to maintain and use the same IP address even as it changes its point of attachment to the Internet. Mobility implies higher security risks than static operation. Portable devices may be stolen or their traffic may, at times, pass through links with questionable security characteristics. Most commercial organizations use some combination of source-filtering routers, sophisticated firewalls, and private address spaces to protect their network from unauthorized users. The basic Mobile IP protocol fails in the presence of these mechanisms even for authorized users. This paper describes enhancements that enable Mobile IP operation in such environments, i.e., they allow a mobile user, out on a public portion of the Internet, to maintain a secure virtual presence within his firewall-protected office network. This constitutes what we call a Mobile Virtual Private Network (MVPN).

Abstract:In order to reduce remote signaling traffic and out-of-order packets and retransmission packets in Mobile IP networks, the paper proposes a distributed-agent scheme. Two new agents, redirection agent and local agent, are introduced to replace the foreign agent and some new options are introduced to create a new distributed routing algorithm. Results from simulation confirm that remote signaling traffic used for registration by mobile nodes is effectively reduced, and out-of-order packets and retransmission packets are also reduced The performance of Mobile IP is improved using this algorithm.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems such as low performance, security limitation, and deployment-difficulty of new protocols in implementing the basic mobile IP protocol, an extended mobile IP protocol is implemented on an active network prototype-Softnet. The Softnet has the feature of dynamic loading of the mobile agents that dynamically extends functions of the active node. Routing tables for the extended mobile protocol are maintained using a re-directional active network encapsulation protocol. The performance of the mobile IP is improved and the limitation caused by security consideration is also eliminated by integrating mobile-IP routing, normal node routing and tunneling techniques.
An enhanced fast handover scheme for mobile IPv6

Abstract:Mobile IPv6 is the next generation wireless internet protocol to support IP mobility. One of the most important challenges in Mobile IPv6 is to provide the service for a mobile node to maintain its connectivity to the internet when it moves from one domain to another, which is referred to as handover. Because when performing the handover scheme, there is a period that the packets cannot reach the MN (Mobile Node) in time, the fast handover scheme is proposed to reduce the handover latency and packet delay. In this paper, we propose an enhanced fast handover scheme for Mobile IPv6. In our scheme, each AR (Access Router) maintains a CoA (Care of Address) table and generates the new CoA for the MN who will move to its domain. At the same time, the binding updates to home agent and correspondent node are proposed to be performed from the time point that the new CoA for MN is known by PAR (Previous AR). The performance analysis is provided in the paper. After the comparison with the existing fast handover scheme, we can see that the proposed enhanced fast handover scheme can achieve low handover latency and low packet delay.

Abstract:One of the key problems in the mobile communication is the anonymous communication. The mobile userwants to hide his real identifying information to the visiting domain and the public network which he does not trust,and prevent from being tracked and located. In this paper, we have discoursed the anonymous communications in themobile IP, and presented a novel strategy of the dynamic address allocation and the routing with anonymity. The sug-gested method enables any identifying information can be carried over the anonymous and secure connections, andprovide end-to-end security. The implements of the mobile host and the mobile subnet are also presented.
