Research on the Technical Efficiency of Medical Service Supply of Hospitals

Abstract:To accurately assess the technical efficiency of medical service supply of hospitals, the researchers, using the stochastic frontier cost model, conducted contrast studies of the technical efficiency of medical service supply of 22 hospitals in a certain region. It was found that the mean inefficiency loss was 27.45% and the phenomenon of low efficiency was the worst in suburban and county hospitals. This shows that the management level of hospitals is low and inconsistent with their scale and supply capability.
