Abstract:This paper paper presents the design of BLDCM's speed regulating system,which is based on fuzzy control.At first the principle of BLDCM is analyzed and the model is built,then a test is performed on a speed regulating system of close loops of speed and current.Then through fuzzy PD controller and integrating element,the properties of PID controller is perfected,the precisions of control systen is improved.At last,through combiningFuzzy Toolbox and SIMULINK in MATLAB,the computer simulation of fuzzy control system of BLDCM is implemented.The result of simulation shows this method has faster dynamic response and higher regulating precision.

Abstract:Power electronic circuit is a switching system. And its continuous time variables mutually affect with discrete events, so it is also a typical hybrid system. Based on hybrid system theory, uniform hybrid system models are established for second-order DC-DC converters working under continuous current mode (CCM). Direct Method of Lyapunov is used to analyze stability of the system and a new sliding mode control strategy is derived. Simulation and experimental results on Boost converter are given to validate the strategy. A suggestion is presented for practical use. So comparing with the traditional averaged or linearized models, hybrid models can be more precise in theory because no approximation is introduced. It also helps to better analysis and control of power electronic system.

Abstract:In order to study the non-sinusoidal motor drive technology,a detailed analysis of non-sinusoidal motor drive technology was accomplished.Based on the Matlab Simulink development platform,a model of nine-phase induction motor was established,especially for emulation use.By applying the generalized Park transformation,multi-phase induction motor model was converted into d-q harmonic plane.On this basis,the model of a nine-phase induction motor was built.When injected with high order harmonics,a better performance was established in rotational speed and electromagnetic torque,compared to sinusoidal supply.The emulation result shows that non-sinusoidal motor drive technology has great advantages in high power applications.

Abstract:Compared with the traditional hydraulic regulating speed system,variable-frequency regulating speed technology,applied in hydraulic system,brings more advantages.A variable-frequency regulating hydraulic simulative system was designed based on Matlab/Simulink.The simulation emphasis focused on the vector control regulating speed system of asynchronous motor.Simulation curves show that using the closed-loop vector control method,the system has better dynamic performance.

Abstract:For BLDCM speed regulating system, the parameter’s self-adaptive fuzzy PID controller was constructed. A BLDCM simulation model was built, based on it a control system with close loops of speed and current was experimented. This controller improves the performance of the whole system by adjusting certain parameters of the self-adaptive Fuzzy-PID controller online.This strategy controller is proved to have faster dynamic andsmaller overshoot compared to PID controller both in simulation and experiment.

Abstract:Power-electronics-based emulators have been showing promising prospects in advanced testing of various applications of power electronics systems. For electric machine applications, typical machine emulators calculate the references of stator current in response to terminal voltages via mathematical models of the machine system, and then, the current behaviors of emulators are regulated by using feedback controls. However, the dynamic and high-frequency performances of these machine emulators could be distorted by the introduced control loops, thus compromising the emulating performances. In this article, the limits of typical machine emulators are analyzed, and a new approach is proposed for the real-time emulation of permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM). A linear regulator without feedback control loop is proposed and designed to reshape the frequency-domain characteristics of the converter and current filter inside the emulation system. Compared with typical solutions, the proposed approach has frequency-domain characteristics closer to the target PMSM. The dynamic performances can be more accurately recreated, and the applicable frequency range for emulation can be extended. Simulations and experimental validations are also conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract:This paper presents an overview of Proportional Integral control (PI) and Artificial Intelligent control (AI) algorithms. AI and PI controller are analyzed using Matlab [Simulink] software. The DC motor is an attractive piece of equipment in many industrial applications requiring variable speed and load characteristics due to its ease of controllability. The main objective of this paper illustrates how the speed of the DC motor can be controlled using different controllers. The simulation results demonstrate that the responses of DC motor with an AI control which is Fuzzy Logic Control shows satisfactory well damped control performance. The results shows that Industrial DC Motor model develop using its physical parameters and controlled with an AI controller give better response, it means it can used as a controller to the real time DC Motor

Load Modeling of CRH3 Electric Multiple Unit Traction Drive System

Abstract:Aiming at how to analyzing the load characteristic of traction power supply system and establishing a high-speed railway power supply quality evaluation platform,a Matlab/Simulink model of CRH3 electric multiple unit(EMU) traction and drive system was established by using vector control.According to the characteristics that main portion of this EMU load is induction motor,a model of induction motor paralleling static part was used to establish a mathematical model of this EMU.Particle swarm optimization(PSO)was used to estimate the parameters of this model,and good fitting results were obtained of power by using the parameters.The results indicate that this model can describe the dynamic characteristic of EMU load very well,also it proves that the identification algorithm is effective.
Stability Analysis and Fidelity Improvement of Motor Emulators for High-Speed Applications with Low Carrier Ratios

Abstract:Motor emulators receive much attention in motor drives tests. However, instability problems can occur in high-speed motor emulators at low carrier ratios. In these applications, discretized motor models solution and non-ideal blocks calculation in digital control system may largely threaten the system stability and fidelity. In this paper, firstly, the system stability analysis is conducted based on the double-sided frequency modeling method. Then the dual-edge sampling method is used to reduce the calculation step. Thus, the system instability problem can be eliminated. Meanwhile, several compensations for non-ideal blocks are presented to improve the fidelity of motor emulators at low carrier ratios. At the end, the effectiveness of the presented methods is validated via several simulation results.

Abstract:Based on the mathematical model of the Brushless DC motor (BLDC), a novel method for modeling and simulation of BLDC system in Matlab has been proposed. In Matlab/Simulink, the isolated functional blocks, such as BLDC block, Hysteresis current controller block, Speed controller block, ect., have been modeled. By the organic combination of these blocks, the model of BLDC can be established easily. To guarantee the validity and speediness in simulation, the back EMF is generated using piecewise linear curves. In the double loop of control system, a PI controller is adopted in the speed loop and a hysteresis current controller is adopted in the current loop. The reasonability and validity have been testified by the simulation results and this novel method offers a new thoughtway for designing and debugging actual motors.

Abstract:In this paper, the load imitation system by DC motor is designed and implemented. An H-Bridge PWM converter is used in the system to control the DC motor. The control algorithm is realized in the DSP (TMS320LF2407). This system is applied to imitate the compressor load with fluctuating torque in the air conditioners. Both simulation and experiment results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed load imitation system. Therefore, it provides a general platform that can be used to study the control method of motors with fluctuating load.

Abstract:In order to rela realize constant accelerating or decelerating and reverse start quickly,the reversible design about double closed regulation system is proposed.The rectification system uses fully controlled three-phase bridge rectifier circuit with thyristor triggering.To suppress the harmonic interference,the rectification transformer with connection is adopt.Based on the mathematical model of current loop and speed loop,the current loop controller and the speed loop controller are built using PI control algorithm,in accordance with the type Ⅰ,Ⅱ-type system.Simulink simulation module is created in with Matlab.The results show that the speed and current achieve the design requirements.

Abstract:Model identification is necessary for system emulation in hardware-in-loop simulation. This paper design the implementation for complex curve fitting and vector fitting method on discrete domain. Differences between transfer function fitting methods are discussed about their based forms, convergence and accuracy. A LCL-type grid-connected inverter model is taken as an example for the tested transfer functions. The rationality and stability of the result transfer function is achieved by modifying the methods. Accuracy and stability of the proposed method is verified by simulation and experiments.

Abstract:In this paper,the model based development of idle speed close-loop control strategy for electronic control unit pump system is conducted following the development process of V-model.The simulation model for idle control strategy is built with the tool of Matlab/Simulink;The codes of control strategy are generated automatically from the language of Matlab/Simulink to the ANSI C by using the tool of TargetLink.The model-in-the-loop simulation and the software-in-the-loop simulation are also made to check the precision of generated codes.The generated codes are downloaded into the controller by the development tool,and the control strategy is also tested and modified on the hardware in the loop simulation system,and the control parameters are also optimized by using the calibration tool.Simulation and tested results show that the designed control strategies of idle speed control can meet the control demands of electronic unit pump system.TargetLink is a good code-generation tool,and V-model development is a good process for the development of control strategies for electronic unit pump system.Development period is shortened and the development cost is decreased.

Abstract:There are several problems in the conventional direct torque control(DTC)system such as large torque-ripple,inconstant inverter switching frequency. At the basis of analysis of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM),this paper proposes a DTC system using space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)for PMSM and model in the Matlab/Simulink.The model adopts PI controllers instead of relay unit,and the inverter is controlled by the SVPWM technique instead of switching table.The model simulation results indicate the validity of the proposed DTC system for PMSM,and the proposed method can improve the performance of DTC system.

Abstract:For the purpose of testing the performance of motors and power units, an efficient and practical system capable of the emulation of dynamical electric loads is needed. In this paper, a method for physical simulation of dynamical electric loads without flux linkage observation is presented. The paper describes the model and the dynamic equation of the control system, which is capable of emulating three kinds of mechanical load. By the method of maintaining a constant excitation and adjusting armature current of the DC machine, this paper gives the way to simulating different kinds of load. The control strategy is emulated by PSCAD, and the results show this system can precisely simulate the dynamical load of constant torque, constant power and fan-type.
Electric Machine Emulator Adopting Voltage-Response Model Without Differentiator

Abstract:Electric machine emulators are now becoming a promising method to test the electric machines and corresponding drive systems for the flexibility and high-efficiency. Typically, the emulator is controlled by closed-loop current control (CLCC), which may conflict with the current control loop implemented by the drive converter of the electric machine. Thus, the dynamic performance of the electric machine emulator will be compromised, and the stability margin of the whole testing system will be narrowed. In this paper, a voltage-response model of the electric machine is built to remove the current control loop implemented by the emulating converter. In this situation, the above-mentioned conflict no longer exists. Both the models of the target electric machine and the coupling filters are included to avoid the differential terms. With the proposed voltage-response model of the target motor, the stability margin can be guaranteed, and better dynamic performance can be achieved because the CLCC is removed. Theoretical validations and simulations are carried out to illustrate the effectiveness and advancement of the proposed method.

Abstract:An ultra-wide-area transmission network emulator represented by regenerative converters is developed in this paper. The converters are paralleled to provide and share power similar to electromechanical generators. Others are controlled to emulate loads, such as, induction motors and constant impedance, current, power (ZIP) loads. The structure and control algorithms of these power system component emulators are discussed in detail, and the performance of overall system architecture is presented. As is well-known, the induction motor will induce large power perturbation when it starts. The simulation results clearly show the dynamic response and starting up process of the load.

Abstract:According to the disadvantages of PID control, this paper aims at applying fuzzy control in FOC control of PMSM. The controller automatically adjusts the two parameters of the PI controller based on changes in e and ec. The simulation result shows that more dynamic and steady-state can be obtained by using fuzzy PI control.

Abstract: Multilevel converters are being more widely used, but the DC capacitance voltages are not easily balanced and the pulse width modulation (PWM) control scheme is difficult. A software package was developed to simulate multilevel converters and motor drive systems. The modeling method integrates circuitoriented and functionoriented simulations, so it possesses the advantages of both, and efficient and precise simulation is realized. The graphical interface is very user friendly. A fivelevel converter drive system has been studied using this software and the simulation results verify the softwares validity.
