Abstract:Subsea in-situ dynamic environmental monitoring is very important.Data management system is its core module.ARM9 is the core of its hardware.Its software platform is Linux2.4.20.The module integrates three deep sea instruments and provides realtime and reliable control interface and data interface between coastal base station and deep sea instruments.The module is validated to provide real-time data to coastal base station according to the protocol.Finally,some problems need to be solved are brought forward.

Abstract:To facilitate instrument management at university, we propose an instrument management system in this paper. This new type of equipment management is expected to replace traditional management methods. Although at university the degree of computer information is rather high, the current instrument management methods are very outdated. Even in some universities, related personnel still adopt very primitive method to manage the teaching equipment. However, with experiment science developing and more and more focus on instrument utilization in the teaching process, the amount of teaching instrument grows exponentially, which imposes a new challenge to the traditional methods of teaching instrument. To cope with this problem, we first conduct some research on this problem. Then, based on this research, an online teaching instrument system is implemented, which nearly covers all the needs of the system requirement.

Abstract:For the application of real-time database in a petrochemical plant,the article put forwards to a new concept to resolve the communication among real-time database and DCS,control software,and Web-based user interface.The scheme is developed based on Windows 2000 Server using the technique of multe-threading,anolymous pipe and WinSock,etc.The results of long industrial running of this scheme show that it is more effective and feasible for industrial process.

Abstract:A comprehensive simulation and optimization platform which offers a lot of functions such as decision analysis, production scheduling optimization and process dynamic simulation is urgently required for today's process industry. But this will generate a series of model management problems because models integrated in the platform belong to different classifications and interact with each other in some special applications. In this paper, a model management platform for refinery multi-level simulation and optimization is introduced. The platform, referring to a classical model management framework in decision supporting area, integrates different refinery models for different users and can coordinate computational tasks between models for multi-level application.
RHO: A Software Tool for Targeting and Design of Refinery Hydrogen Networks

Abstract:Hydrogen management is important for refineries to improve their business efficiency. Various approaches such as pinch analysis and mathematical programming have been employed in the management of hydrogen system. However, it is not easy for site engineers to implement these techniques, due to the complicated procedures. At this point, it is necessary to develop a software that can implement the proposed methodologies automatically, which is really the goal of this work. The presented refinery hydrogen system optimization software（RHO） is a web based system. It is developed in the Java Web environment, where the subroutines of mathematical model developed in GAMS software can be easily called. RHO can generate graphics of both the hydrogen pinch diagram and the hydrogen distribution network. The purifiers as well as the physical distances between units are considered in the optimization model. In addition, there is a special module for the calculation of membrane separation, which is very important in the hydrogen network. The functions and the interfaces of the software are illustrated via practical cases. Case studies show the effectiveness of the RHO software.

Abstract:A design pattern of multi-layer distributed software was introduced to improve the system integration, openability and reusability for the existing advanced process control (APC) software. The design principle, basic framework and features of the new APC software package and its applications were introduced. The designing technology and its realization method for the interface layer, business service layer, business object layer were given. The introduced APC software package was tested on an aromatic extraction xylene raffinate column of Petrochemical Company and was proved with perfect performance and good effectiveness in practical application. The developed software package shows its powerful function, good openability and flexibility, better reliability and maintainability in experimental research.

Abstract:The main problems in the management of large-scale instrument sharing platform are analyzed. Combined with the development of current information technology, the role of information resources in the management of large-scale instrument sharing platform is discussed. Through the construction of the website, the introduction of the Internet of Things management system, the use of virtual simulation teaching resources, etc., the problems arising in the management of the current large-scale instrument sharing platform are solved, and the results of the new management model are investigated and analyzed. The results show that the utilization of information resources has improved the management efficiency of large-scale instrument sharing platforms and has been recognized by teachers and students.

Abstract:Combined with the design and development of a surface water quality monitoring information management system, the water quality monitoring information management requirements and water quality data items and data structures are analyzed. The framework of the database construction is presented and the concept design and logical architecture design are introduced. The titling formats and content regulations are investigated. Under the surroundings of Oracle and VB.Net, the front end and back end system are developed. The key functions of the system including water quality query and management and monitoring factors information query are introduced. Furthermore, the concept of the Rough Sets is introduced, and water quality information completion and uniformities, attribute reduction and rule induction algorithms are investigated based on the Rough Sets model. Thus the data analysis and early-warning functions are established. The operation performance of the system shows that it can wholly meet the needs of the water quality monitoring and management.

Abstract:Based on the real process of refinery,flowsheet simulation platform of intelligent plant is fulfilled using Matlab and Visual C++.Virtual devices are built on Simulink environment.The platform can simulate the real production of the whole plant and export real data of every device to the database.At the same time,the measured data are obtained with virtual instruments.The platform can run various algorithms of data reconciliation and validate their reliability.

Abstract:Based on years of experience in optimizing the process industry,a system software for synthetic ammonia process optimization and monitoring was developed based on data mining technology,integrated and graphical.The software integrated most of the modern optimization methods including database search,pattern recognition,artificial intelligence,statistical learning,and domain knowledge.The software had two versions:the off-line version and on-line version.The software had some exciting characteristics such as method fusion,feature selection,automatic model,model validation,model updating,multi-model building,and on-line monitoring,which contributed to solve optimization and monitoring problems of ammonia synthesis processes.The software is successfully applied to the ammonia synthesis process.It can be also expected that the software has great potential in chemical process optimization and monitoring.

Abstract:A typical refinery consists of the production system and the utility system. Traditional refinery-wide optimization is carried out in a sequential process which not only misses opportunities of increasing the overall refinery economic margin, but also leads to the economic losses of extra fuel gas vent and environmental cost of harmful gas emission. A novel integrated approach which couples the production system and the utility system is presented and optimized simultaneously in a refinery-wide mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model. The production unit energy consumption model is introduced by considering the relationship of energy consumption, unit throughput, and operation modes. Material balance of intermediate product such as fuel gas and fuel oil and energy generation and consumption balance of different utilities are considered to improve energy utilization. A real industrial example is investigated to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method which leads to sharp decrease in refinery-wide operation cost and a significant improvement in energy saving and emission reducing.

Abstract:Production scheduling optimization for refinery to improve economic benefit and enhance enterprise competitiveness has an important role.An overall design and system development of a graphical refinery scheduling optimization software wereare discussed in this paper.The model-view-controller(MVC) technology is was used and we realizeto obtain the graphical scheduling optimization model,and convenient configuration of scheduling model can be obtained.A famous open source software package(Coin-OR) which is a famous open source software package,is was transplanted for optimization solver of our software,and the interface between the solver with Coin-OR and the graphical model was is realizedobtained.The software was able to provides extensive reports,making,which makes field operators easy to obtain the scheduling results easily.The software was also able to provide Pperfect internal model data management and extensive interfaces are provided by software,including crude oil properties database,crude oil evaluation database interface,product oil properties database etc.and so on.The simulation results showeds that this software can provide practical optimal schedule scheme for the refinery industry.

Abstract:Considered with the actualities and demands of the special equipment management,the sorts and classes of the special equipment is firstly introduced and described in this paper.Then the paper develops and constructs the function model of the management information system for the special equipment,and plans and designs the business/data flow of the management system.By using JBuilderX and Oracle9i as developing instrument,methods and technique are presented to realize the dynamic character/function management of the system.The appliance shows that the management system studied in this paper can meet the demand of the special equipment management and improve the safety of the special equipment.

Abstract:Construction productivity issues in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) construction industry can lead to project cost blowouts. Time wasted by construction personnel getting the right information on megaprojects can be a substantial contributing factor. It appears that the traditional method of communication on site is not cost effective, judging by the number of large project that have experienced budget overruns in the past. The concept framework defined in this research paper will form the basis for a scientific validation that aims to support the hypothesis that productivity can be substantially improved in the LNG construction industry. The approach is based on a novel context-aware mobile computing framework that integrates innovate concepts and technologies including but not limited to Information Communication Technology (ICT), Building Information Modeling (BIM), advanced visualization, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and laser scanning. The integration of these technologies in a cohesive dynamically updated database combined with real time visualisation will give construction personnel a superior advantage compared to current practice; site personnel waiting for permits, waiting for materials, searching for information only to realise that the drawing in their hand was incorrect in the first place. The next phase of this study will conduct a series of experiments based on a real scale construction module. It is believed the results will reveal positive effects in labour productivity that will benefit lean construction practitioners in today's global LNG construction industry.

Abstract:Based on the domain analysis of embedded digital instrumentation,the system architecture and framework for data analysis instrumentation software are proposed.A series of configurable and extensible general component libraries and special component libraries are designed for the framework design based on the component technology.Several design patterns are used in the components and framework development for the reasonableness and convenience.The data analysis instrumentations software systems can be constructed by choosing the required components based on the framework,which improves the development efficiency and software quality,and shortens the development time.
