Abstract:With the purpose of examining the physiological function of Sch9 kinase,the variable phosphorylation statuses of PDK1 site of Sch9 during different cell phases were monitored using synchronized yeast.Additionally,Overexpressing Cdc34 in Sch9deficient yeast cells was able to further lengthen the longevity and increased cellular resistance to oxidative and thermal stress.These data imply for the first time that Cdc34 participated in longevity regulation and stress response as a substrate of Sch9.
