A Review on the Theory of Standard System for China Best Tourist Cities and Its Implementation

Abstract:After reviewing the achievement and experience gained i n the implementation of the standard system of \!China First-class Tourist Cities\,the authors introduce first the stra tegic background of \!Best of Excellent\.Then they outline the general principa l,basic and specific criteria of the \!Standard System for China Best Tourist Ci ties\(SSCBTC).The SSCBTC was drawn up,based on a \!Principal of Dynam ic Evaluation ,by a joint team whose members come from World Tourism Organization and Beijing U niversity in China,centrusted by China national Tourism Administratio n.And nex t,the authors elaborate the strategies of endeavoring after CBTC and steps for i ts implementation.Its impacts on building a city as a tourist destination in line w ith international standards are summarized at last.
