Abstract:Objective To explore the application of CTVC in colorectal polyp. Materials and Methods Thirty seven patients with 67 colorectal polyps underwent volume scanning using spiral CT. CTVC images were obtained by using navigator software in workstation. 67 polyps of 37 cases, including simple (n=19) and complicated (n=18) polyps, were proved by surgery or biopsy. Imaging findings were analyzed statistically according to retrograde, antegrade and retrograde combined with antegrade observations. Results As for ployps with ≤5mm, 6~9mm and ≥10mm in size, the detection rate of retrograde observation was 60.0%, 87.5%, and 100.0%, respectively; that of antegrade observation was 50.0%, 82.5%, and 94.1%, respectively; that of retrograde combined with antegrade was 70.0%, 95.0%, and 100.0%, respectively. And the total detection rate of the combined use of retrograde, antegrade and retrograde combine with antegrade observations was 86.6%, 80.6%, and 92.5%, respectively. Additionally, the size and shape of polyps were different in retrograde and antegrade observations. Conclusion The colorectal polyps with CTVC should be observed in retrograde combined with antegrade directions so as to minimize the blind zone of haustral fold and provide a full imaging information of view.
