Cloning of Dentin Sialophosphoprotein Gene in Mouse Tooth Germs and Cartilage

Abstract:AIM:To clone DSPP gene from mouse tooth germs and cartilage.METHODS:DSPP gene was cloned from mouse tooth germs and cartilage by RT-PCR, both target fragments were inserted into commercial T Easy-Vector and sequenced. RESULTS: A 719bp fragment was obtained from the tooth germs and cartilage, respectively. The sequence analysis showed that they were 99.7% homologous to the published one.CONCLUSION: We successfully cloned partial sequence of DSPP from mouse tooth germs and cartilage. It suggested that DSPP could also be expressed in cartilage tissue except tooth tissue. It might not be regarded as the special marker of odontoblasts.[
