Progress of Study on Preparation of Monodispersed Polymeric Microspheres and Microcapsules by Using Membrane Emulsification Technique

Abstract:The progress in preparation of monodispersed polymeric microspheres and microcapsules by using membrane emulsification technique was reviewed.Membrane emulsification was considered as not only a simple and efficient method to obtain a high quality and stable monodispersed emulsion,but also a foundation of designˉing and preparing monodispersed functional microspheres and microcapsules.The achievements of preparations of monodispersed polymeric microspheres and microcapsules as drug carriers,chromatography column packed beads,electro-photographic toner particles,enzyme-immobilized beads and so on,by using membrane emulˉsification techniques,were introduced and discussed systematically.
