Abstract:To provide the uniform interface for heterogeneous data source access, and avoid the developers'consideration for the heterogeneity of data model, data abstraction and data integration, this XML-based data integration platform is designed, which provides an uniform matter to query heterogeneous data source by using XML as the data model, and this platform is used in flood decision support system.The experiment showed that the solution, which is using XML as a data integration model by combining XQuery technology, solve the heterogeneity data source problem efficiently, and the flexibility of integration platform is enhanced.

Abstract:With the popularisation of the Internet and the explosive accumulation of various kinds of data,how to effectively integrate and analyze various kinds of heterogeneous data becomes a critical problem in the field of E-commerce.In this paper,we propose a solution with mediator-wrapper architecture based on XML and RDF.This architecture uses XML schema to represent the data models of heterogeneous data sources and implements the data integration by establishing the mapping relationship between these models with RDF.In this paper we also implement a prototype of the general heterogeneous data integration framework on the basis of the above solution,in experiment the framework is demonstrated to be able to well solve the problems of diversity in data sources and semantic conflict between models in data integration process with considerable flexibility.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems such as inconvenient querying and disposing data,difficult comprehending with each other,and disuniform format of data expression in disposing process,this paper develops a system on the basis of XML for data integration—student information integration system by adopting XML and JAVA technology,and Xquery is used in the global query language on querying disposal,which meets the different requirement of users for data integration. The experimental results show that this system has achieved the purpose for integration and share,and has better query efficiency.

Abstract:This paper proposes a XML-based power heterogeneous data integrating framework. The tool uses XML to describe and model the objects of power system in a similar way with rational database. It helps transform the heterogeneous data belonging to different power organizations to the data with uniform format stored as XML files. The tool can enable the heterogeneous data integrating and exchanging of power system. Thus various distributed application can be developed base on this framework. The practical application proved the efficiency of proposed framework.

Abstract:This paper presents a design and development of a query system for distributed heterogeneous data sources. The query system can formulate an effective query over relational databases, text files, and XML documents. Through the schema manager, the query system creates an integrated schema after reading the data dictionaries of the various data sources. Query manager can break down a query, which is generated over the integrated schema by users, based on the connection and configuration information of system and dispatch them to the individual data sources. The results form different data sources will be returned and merged, then present them to users in a view. The system can perform queries over heterogeneous data sources effectively.

Abstract:The problem of heterogeneous data integration in industrial supervisory control is presented and analyzed. The demand and difficulties of complex lab data representing, storing and publishing are outlined and analyzed in this paper. It is pointed out that a self-descriptive data structure with clear organization of contents and easy connection to human-machine interface is needed. A solution based on XML (eXtended Mark-up Language) is proposed with combination of different layers of data storage, data logic and presentation, human-machine interface. An XML-based system is developed to meet the demands of laboratory data publishing with complex structure. Construction of user interface from XML schema, conversion of lab data into XML, algorithm of storing XML into RDBMS (relation database manager system), query and reconstruction of XML documents from the RDBMS are touched upon. The data structure is described in details and its unique advantage is presented.

Abstract:In this paper, we focus on the problem in information integration systems of obtaining data from an heterogeneous data source accurately and effectively. XML is used as data exchange format of the wrapper. We design the wrapper architecture based on the conversion and management of the views as the bridge from global schema to local schema of various data sources. Our wrapper has two main subsystems, the data extract subsystem and query executor subsystem. The former is for loading data for the cache in the mediator when changes more than threshold are detected, and the latter is for answering the query from the mediator. The architecture adapts to the data and schema change of the data source and could answer the query of the mediator effectively. Considering the wrapper may run in the environment without control, the process in the wrapper should be simple enough. The storage in the wrapper itself should be as small as possible and the storage of data source could be used. The detail of the module query rewrite, view management, query merge, result wrap and schema change detect are discussed. The behavior of the wrapper during the query process in the wrapper is discussed with a running example. The security strategy, especially in the distance that the wrapper runs in autonomic data source, is also introduced in this paper.

Abstract:In order to dispense with the complex middleware in enterprise data integration,a framework of a multi-node XML data service center is presented.Firstly,the problems are described,which distributed XML query processing and XML data integration.Then,based on these problems,the latest research progress and solutions of distributed XQuery processing is reviewed.Through com-parison,DXQ language and Galax XQuery engine is adopted to do the distributed XML query processing.The framework also utilizes service oriented architecture to ease XML data service adding and requesting and dynamic load balancing techniques to balance the load between the server nodes.

Abstract:A scheme, designed for integration of heterogeneous data sources based on CORBA(common object request broker architecture) in a plug play way, is put forward in this paper. An object model, named OIM(object model for integration), is proposed as the common data model for integration. The system can integrate various heterogeneous data sources, ranging from database systems, file systems, to hypertext files in World Wide Web. Any other data source, if wrapped according to the specified way can be integrated into the system, whenever necessary. The architecture, OIM, query processing, user interface design are introduced in some detail in the paper.

Abstract:The heterogeneous data integration architecture of this paper includes fours level: source schema level, local schema level, global schema level, user schema level. We use Web service interface to complete the transformation from the source schema level to the local schema level. We implement the transformation from the local schema level to the global schema level using the mergence of different local schemas and the solution of confliction. The user schema level which can adjust according to the real-time situation dynamically is a subset of global schema level. We also define a XML based uniform data model to support the querying in the integration of heterogeneous data, and propose a query disposal process for the system.
