Abstract:In order to solve the problem of low efficiency of the huge data communication with each PC terminal in the system,a data ransmission mechanism was designed.Transmission layer and representation layer of system communication were defined,IP Multicast was adopted at transmission layer,XML technology was adopted to define data packet at representation layer.The transmission of network data efficiently was realized.Experimentation result shows that the mechanism can improve the efficency of system data transmission greatly.

Abstract:In this paper we study the key issues of the real-time video transfer system when applying multicast technology.First we introduce an application-level high-performance multicast transport protocol RTMTP to offer guarantees of real-time and stable video transmission.Second,we improve the management of flow control by adding the component Video Repeater,avoiding the traditional way in which centralized and inflexible methods are applied.Third,packet forwarding is achieved through hierarchical service control of Repeaters.Finally,the implementation of a solution is issued and the performance of a sample system based on it is tested.

Abstract:This paper designs and implements a remote digital audio/video surveillance system based on IP multicast.The solution of distributed accessing and sharing of audio-video is presented,which could effectively save the bandwidth of the network.meanwhile,this system has another characteristic,of automatically switching multicast channel and unicast one for that some routers doesn’t support or switch on IP multicast.Considering that the different transmission features of audio/video data and control data,it discusses the transmission technology adapted and gives the specific implement method of main modules.

Abstract:A novel programming interface(API) is introduced in this paper.The basic requirement is for multiple and asynchronous calling processes to capture a data stream without affecting each other.IP multicasting is the primary tool employed for this purpose.UDP is used at transport layer.The current implementation is based on the stream of web pages produced by a high performance web crawler.Along with the interface,a demo application(WordCount) is also implemented.Experiments have verified the robustness of the design,and preliminary measurement shows 1-3% data loss is observed,which is acceptable for many streaming data applications.

Abstract:With the rapid progress of multicast applications and more users participating in it, IP multicast has been an important subject in both research and development. In the meantime, due to the rapid promulgation of mobile devices and progress in wireless technology these years, it is imperative to determine the best way to provide services to mobile equipment. Because IP multicast naturally has the merit of high scalability and efficiency, which is more significant for mobile environment whose resource is much limited, more and more people pay attention to these two techniques, and many efforts are being made to bring them together. In this paper, a comprehensive survey on mobile multicast arithmetics and schemes is given, the advantages and application range of these arithmetics or schemes are discussed respectively, also the shortcomings and problems existed are anatomized in depth, and then a comprehensive comparison is given. In view of poor reliability in mobile environment, a detailed investigation of new problems when implementing reliable multicast to mobile hosts is given, and some related works are introduced. It was hoped that the illustration and discussion presented here would be helpful for developers in selecting an appropriate mobile multicast arithmetic or protocol for their specific needs. In the end, the future trend of combining multicast and mobile is discussed.

Abstract:Aiming at poor self-adapting performance of Industry monitoring network (IMN) based on server/client mode, an intelligent IMN architecture realization method based on Universal plug and play (UPnP) was put forward. According to field distribution condition and running characteristics of industrial devices, topological IMN model centralized UPnP was established. Combining embedded system technology, monitoring information interaction mechanism was designed using signal communication method, and intelligent management for IMN was realized by the key data structures of Parameter configuration table (PCT) and Control device node (CDN). Industrial experiments prove that this method can realize the anticipated functions of seamless link, zero-configuration and self-recognition.

Abstract:Application layer multicast does not need the support of network layer equipment which is suitable to be used in streaming media systems.Based on the framework of existing live streaming media systems using unicast paths,application-layer-multicast based live streaming media system is proposed by building application layer multicast server,giving client software the ability to transfer received media streams,and designing specific multicast protocol for media streams.A demon system is developed which shows the proposed solution can provide stable and acceptable quality service.Compared to the systems using unicast paths,the demon system can serve much more users.

Abstract:IPbased Video Conferencing (VC) will be widely used in the next generation Internet. Comparison of the two VC technologies based on H.323 and IP/Multicast shows that IP/Multicast technology has better reliability and efficiency. The IP/multicast remotelecture system can be synthesized with multicast and unicast communications to remotely manage lectures. Tests of the system on NSFCNET, an advanced Chinese network testbed, and the CERNET backbone shows that the IP/multicast based remotelecture system works well on the advanced Chinese networks. Abstract:Internetware tends to resolve the integrating and sharing of various kinds of resources in open,dynamic and changing Internet environment.In the recent years,streaming media applications becomes more and more popular on the Internet,which introduced challenging issues such as resource sharing and bandwidth saving.Application layer multicast has shown to be efficient in reducing network traffic for large-scale multimedia applications.However,interactive operations such as VCR may cause frequently reconstruction of multicast trees,which will degrade the system performance.We proposed a protocol called ISMT (Interactive Streaming Multicast Tree) to construct and maintain interactive application layer multicast trees,which aims at reducing user response delay and enhancing system scalability.The effectiveness of the ISMT protocol is validated by simulations.

The core conception of this system is: to approach IP multicast's high efficiency, an overlay similar to actual physical network is built and maintained through routing information. Abstract:Video conferencing is a representative application for next generation networks in which multicasting-based multi-point video conferencing can significantly reduce bandwidth requirements. However, video conferencing based on multicasting instead of unicasting systems has network environment issues, conference manage issues, and security issues caused by the group broadcast. An application frame was developed for multicast-based video conferencing to describe the components in terms of the network multicast environment and multicast address management, cooperation tools and user control panels, conference and user management, and remote monitoring and control. Conference security policy is also considered in the framework. The system has been successfully applied in the China education and research network (CERNET) and played an important role during the 2003 China SARS period.

Abstract:Multi-channel display system is more suitable for collaboration applications than common desktop PC. In tradition, such multi-channel displays are used by a group of collocated users. In this paper, we propose one remote interaction system to allow a group of users to simultaneously access the multi-channel display on common PCs. Our system can achieve real time performance under mainstream network environment, which is difficult for the previous work even under the network testbed of high bandwidth. In the system, the multi-channel video generated on the server side is captured by synchronizing a group of capturing processes. For achieving real time performance, one hierarchical subtile-based approach is designed to represent and compress the multi-channel video using MPEG2. The system selectively streams the bitstream containing the region of visible pixels to the corresponding client. For controlling the multichannel application on client side, we refactor the architecture of VNC software, and integrate the enhanced version into our system. Experimental results show that our system achieves real time performance when simultaneously serving group users.

Abstract:The multicast of Streaming Media over the Internet is an important component of many current and future Internet applications. The heterogeneity and lacking of QoS guarantee make the application of this technique a challenge. In this paper, we analyze the difficulties in streaming media multicast design, survey technologies that have been proposed for it. We also discuss several congestion control and error control mechanisms. Finally we present some remained issues for further research.

Abstract:Closed circuit television monitor system is widely applied in living and working.But in some environments,closed circuit television monitor system can not be realized due to the limitation of the cost and landform.The development of wireless web products and the maturation of video compression standard provide a good solution for this condition.The paper introduces the basic realization theory of Video Compress(H.264) and the form of software system,dissertates RTP protocol and the protocol implementation in the system.On the foundation of these methods,the paper offers a sort of RTP protocol design of microwave video surveillance system,and obtains perfect effects.

Abstract:Multicast is an important research topic for the Internet.Recent research shows some intrinsic limitation in IP Multicast,and Application Layer Multicast (ALM) is proposed.In this article we discuss and classify some major algorithms proposed for ALM.The fundamental problems in ALM research are identified and the metrics for evaluation of ALM algorithms are summarized.Some topics (e.g.,Overlay Network,media encoding method) are also discussed for their close relationship with ALM research.Finally,some possible directions for future research are discussed.
