Abstract:With the excellent property of gracile compliance and direct vision of angioscopy, and on the basis of design and performance of the single external valvuloplasty (SEV), we further performed multiple external valvuloplasty (MEV) of the superficial femoral vein (SFV). The initial experience of 61 valvuloplasties in 24 lower extremities of 20 patients with primary venous insufficiency (PVI) verifies that MEV has better effect than SEV and traditional valvuloplasty. The merits of MEV are that valvuloplasty is realized without venotomy, which avoids injury of valves and diminished the rate of postoperative thrombosis, and that multiple valves are repaired at one time, which integrates the multiple repaired valves to correct the venous reflux more effectively.
