Abstract:Index selection in calculating rational replacement period of tractors is systematically analyzed considering the law of technology state of tractors and wear and tear of spare parts and methods for calculating economic limits of both overhaul and replacement on agricultural machinery are put forward in terms of cost of unit production. Then, both optimal and rational renewal cycle under different conditions were analyzed from the viewpoint of optimizing the economical benefit of the tractors owners.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of present situation and characteristics of grain postproduction system in Zhejiang Province, a multi-objective comprehensive appraisal model was used to evaluate seven treatment operations of grain postproduction system using four indexes, i.e. cost, efficiency, grain quantity loss and grain quality index on the basis of survey, at Jinhua, Jiaxing and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province. By analysis of technology adaptability and discussion of critical equations for economic effect of machine unit, an analysis model of economic adaptability is put forward, and six typical harvest processes in Zhejiang Province including manual harvest and combine harvesters are analyzed. The results are useful to help farmers to improve or select mechanized harvest processes.

An Analysis of Factors Affecting Agricultural Tractors’ Reliability Using Random Survival Forests Based on Warranty Data

Abstract:Warranty data are a valuable and easily accessible data source for manufacturers to assess the reliability of products in the field. Knowledge about the relationships between products’ reliability and reliability factors is beneficial for manufacturers to improve products’ quality. For this motivation, based on warranty data from an agricultural machinery manufacturing company in China, random survival forests (RSF), which is a machine learning method for survival analysis and provides various interpretation tools, was applied for reliability modeling in this study. The model’s performance was assessed by the Harrell’s concordance index (C-index) and the integrated Brier score (IBS). Thirty-four factors from production and operation were collected. Nine most important and meaningful factors were selected to show their marginal effects and interaction effects, according to which decision rules for identifying high-risk products were extracted using classification trees. The results showed that the RSF model trained by considering the observed times as the age (C-index = 0.88, IBS = 0.089) outperformed that trained by considering the observed times as the usage (C-index = 0.83, IBS = 0.15); most of the nine factors, such as “Usage Rate”, had nonlinear impacts on the reliability of tractors; the marginal effects and interaction effects can be used to generate decision rules that can significantly separate high-risk products from the population. This work provides new insights for agricultural machinery manufacturers to understand their products’ reliability and make reliability improvement plans and marketing plans.

Abstract:Taking the actual processing of the steel factory in Sichuan province as an example, the economic profits of the production are analyzed. The linear programming method determines the rational combination of different varieties, and twice index smoothing method helps to predict the sales volume for the five years in the future . Finally the best method in the technical reform is determined by means of net profit value rate and net profit value, which illustrates the point that technical economic analysis is the scientific way in forging process and reform.

Abstract:Frame is an important truck part to connect and support engine, transmission, carriage and cab etc. It is important to analyze strength, stiffness and dynamic characteristics for frame design. This paper developed static analysis of a specific agricultural truck frame under two conditions of full load bending and reverse. The corresponding suggestions of structural modification were proposed. Then the dynamic response of truck frame caused by the external incentives was studied, namely harmonic response analysis and transient dynamic analysis. The paper not only analyzed whether the truck frame met the strength requirements, but also proposed the corresponding solutions for the possible cases of fatigue fracture and stress overloaded of the frame.

Abstract:The target system and influence factors of the optimal treatment installation about environmental pollution, which is based on the analyses about influence factors and investigation about environmental treatment installation, were proposed to solve the difficulties of index-weight determination using comprehensive evaluation methods to evaluate many kinds of treatment installation of environmental pollution. Index-weights of the evaluation system were determinated by using the analytic hierarchy process and matrix calculation, which is based on consulting experts. This method offers the gateway for the definition optimal harness installation of environmental contamination.

Abstract:HighlightsA LightGBM regression model for predicting tractor usage rates was established based on warranty data and considering agricultural tractors’ usage context (region and season) and was then interpreted using SHAP.The field reliability of tractors was estimated based on the usage of failed and unfailed tractors, after unfailed tractors’ usage was imputed using the LightGBM regression model.The proposed methodology was validated by predicting warranty claims using estimated reliability parameters.The proposed methodology was demonstrated using warranty data from a tractor manufacturing company in China.Abstract. Warranty data provide a valuable source of information for assessing the reliability of products in operation (called the field reliability). However, warranty data consist of failure information only. The unavailability of usage data for unfailed products makes it difficult to estimate the reliability of durable products such as agricultural tractors, for which usage is a greater concern than age for reliability analysis. Several studies have proposed methods to address this problem, but they did not include information on the usage context. This study proposes a methodology to estimate the field reliability of agricultural tractors from warranty data considering the tractors’ usage context. First, by taking features representing tractors’ usage context as the input, a usage rate regression model was established using a light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM). The usage of unfailed tractors was then generated. Finally, parametric estimates of the tractors’ reliability were determined based on the usage of failed and unfailed tractors. By interpreting the LightGBM model using SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP), it was found that tractors that were used more days in October and April had higher predicted usage rates. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, the estimated reliability parameters were used to predict the warranty claims of six types of tractors. The results showed that the proposed methodology performed the best in four cases and close to the best in two other cases when compared with two other baseline methods. The proposed methodology was demonstrated using warranty data from an agricultural tractor manufacturing company in China and can be applied to improve understanding of tractor reliability. Accordingly the annual data of fuel and lubrication costs, repair costs and continuous changes of total amount of work of Dongfanghong tractor at different period of service year were gained.

Abstract:This article discusses the legal and methodological features of accounting for the costs of various types of equipment repair. Innovations in legislation have significantly changed approaches to the restoration of fixed assets. In particular, the repair costs can be differentiated into current and capital, it is required to evaluate and reflect information on the material values – received after the repair, and their disposal. Features of accounting for repair costs in tax accounting are defined. Directions of costs and their generalization on the accounts of accounting are systematized. An algorithm for accounting for repair costs, depending on the type of repair and the method of its implementation, was proposed.

Abstract:In view of the problems existing in the process of agricultural machinery selection, such as inadequate decision-making information, strong subjectivity and quantification difficulty of the index weight assignment, and accuracy deficiency of the selection results, a model on the selection of agricultural machinery based on the improved CRITIC-entropy weight and GRA-TOPSIS method was established in this study. Through analysis, based on the construction of a comprehensive evaluation index system for the selection of agricultural machinery, the combined weight value was determined by combining the weights obtained using the improved CRITIC method and the weights obtained using the entropy weight method. The grey relational analysis method was also combined with the TOPSIS method. The power machinery combination with 88.2 and 73.5 kW of the 68th Regiment of the Fourth Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps was used as an example for verification to determine the optimal power machinery combination. Results indicated that the ranking results were consistent, and the GRA-TOPSIS method was of the greatest degree of discrimination, which was conducive to the selection and evaluation of agricultural machinery equipment. Moreover, the equipment selection results were determined after the comprehensive ranking of machinery types under the different subjective preferences of decision makers was performed.

Abstract:Most of mechanical equipments have 3 states: normal, abnormal and failure. When the equipments are checked and diagnosed in abnormal, they will accept predictive maintenance. And if the equipments fail, they will accept failure repair. It is assumed that the predictive maintenance makes equipments "as good as new", while the failure repair does not makes equipment "as good as new". Monotone process is introduced to describe the case that failure repair does not makes equipment "as good as new". Under above assumption and others, reliability and check replacement policy of mechanical equipments are studied by using probability analysis and vector markov process method. The explicit expression of the reliability index and average profit rate (i.e., the long-run average profit per unit time) are derived and the rule of feasibility for the optimal check replacement policy under the largest average profit rate is obtained. The corresponding optimal check replacement policy can be determined analytically or numerically. The research on the actual example shows that the result can provide some scientific basis for improving the reliability, safety and economic profit of mechanical equipments.

Abstract:This paper holds that first of all,evaluation index of modern agriculture should reflect the efficiency of utilization of agricultural resources.And we should select the appropriate evaluation index in accordance with the difference of the objects and their patterns.In this paper,we build a general evaluation index system database of modern agriculture base on taking labor productivity,land productivity and the utilization rate of resources as the core indexes.Then we take Zhejiang for example to build both a regional(county) level and a farmers-level evaluation index system of high-efficiency ecological agriculture respectively by considering its specific characteristics.Possible contributions of this paper are following: firstly,construction of the evaluation index system based on the efficiency of resource utilization may benefits for the resource intensive,conservative,safe,cyclic,integrated and sustainable utilization;secondly,evaluation index reflect the efficiency of agriculture directly is beneficial to study the relationship between agriculture efficiency and its influencing factors and the mechanism;thirdly,taking farmers-level behavior into account will make the practical policy implications more practical.

Abstract:Agricultural mechanization is crucial in enhancing production efficiency, alleviating labor demands, reducing costs, improving agricultural product quality, and promoting sustainable development. However, wear and tear are inevitable when using agricultural machinery. The failure of critical wear-resistant parts is responsible for over 50% of rural machinery breakdowns. For instance, a domestic combine harvester typically only operates trouble-free for 20 to 30 h, and the service life of a rotary plow knife is approximately 80 h. Investigating the wear performance of key farm machinery components reinforces machinery design and maintenance strategies, extends machinery lifespans, enhances agricultural production efficiency, and advances agrarian sustainability. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the latest research on the wear resistance of crucial agricultural machinery components. It delves into the factors influencing the wear resistance of these components and explores current effective measures to address wear-related issues. Additionally, it also summarizes the challenges and opportunities in researching the wear performance of key components in agricultural machinery and future development directions.

Abstract:It is essential that the thinking is correct for analyzing the agricultural mechanization of China. If the thinking is incorrect, the conclusion got is often specious. Analyzing the agricultural mechanization question in terms of demand chain is the key to catching the question. The author has carried on careful and essential division to the peasant households' demand for the agricultural machinery, and have pointed out that the agricultural mechanization demand chain is divided into three chains connected each other. Through analyzing the author points out, the subject matter of China's agricultural mechanization is that the demand for the large-scale or high-performance agricultural machinery homework which peasant households increase day by day has not received due satisfaction, thus this restricted the development of the Chinese agricultural machinery. At present and in a quite long period in the future, the focal point of the government work should be subsidizing the peasant households or service companies with large-scale agricultural machinery.
