Comparision of Serum Soluble Intercellular Adhension Molecules Between Patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Patients with Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract:Objective To measure and compare the serum sICAM-1 and sE-selectin in patients with diabetes mellitus and patients with coronary heart disease.Methods Determine the level of sICAM-1 and sE-s by ELISA in three groups(DM group,CHD group and normal control group ),measure the level of serum lipid and glucose.Results The level of sICAM-1 and sE-s in both group DM and group CHD were significantly higher than those in group NC,the serum sICAM-1 in group DM was significantly higher than that in group CHD(386.3±59.7vs344.1±63.2 P0.05),the level of sICAM-1 was positively related to that of serum LDL and TC.Conclusion sICAM-1 and sE-s may involve in the pathogenesis of diabetic vascular complication and CHD,DM patients run high risks of cardiac vascular disease.Serum lipid have effect on the level of ICAM-1.
