Abstract:How to represent and retrieve reusable software component is always of interest to the reuse community. As a soft-ware development environment supporting systematic reuse, JB system chose faceted classification as the primary classification method, with several other methods constituting a combined solution, which supports multiple retrieval methods and their combination. The representation, classification and retrieval of reusable components in JB system, the assumptions we made, the design rationale, system architecture, data model and features of related subsystems are all introduced.
