Abstract:In this paper,based on the mathematical model of the permanent-magnet sychronous-motor(PMSM),a new way of PMSM vector control system model has been taken on.In matlab6.5/simlink,the isolated functional blocks,such as speed controller block,vector controller block,coordinate transform block,SPWM block etc.has been modeled.There are some blocks such as PMSM block,voltage inverter block which are provided by matlab6.5/simlink.By the organic combination of these blocks,a double loop of control system,the speed loop and a current loop are established.The validity has been testified by the simulation results and other control strategies can be applied to the system to testify their rationality.This novel method offers a new thought way for PMSM control system designing and debugging in actual application.

Abstract:A novel method for modeling and simulink of PMSM system in Matlab is proposed.In Matlab/Simulink,the isolated blocks,such as PMSM block,coordinate transformation form d/q to a/b/c block,Three phase current source inveter controller block,speed controller block,etc.,have been modeled.By the organic combination of these blocks,two control loops are used.,which are the inner current-loop and the outer speed-loop.The reasonability and validity have been testified by the simulate result and this novel method offers a new thought for designing and debugging actual motor.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the mathematical model and commutation of the Brushless DC motor(BLDCM),the simulation model of the BLDCM system was proposed in Simulink.The inverter model was built based on switching function to accelerate the simulation speed.All the simulation of motor performance,fault protection,PID speed loop control system can be achieved.Simulation results show this model has the advantage of high accuracy current dynamic simulation and high calculation efficiency.This offers a new method for the BLDCM system simulation.

Abstract:The need for energy savings and introduction of new high power devices like IGCTs accelerate the broad use of medium and high voltage adjustable speed drives (ASD) in industrial and traction applications. As part of the mission to design a 6 kV, 1600 kVA three-level converter-based ASD, a simulation system is developed using MATLAB package for the purpose of validating the practical power electronic circuits and offering suggestions for controller design. In this paper various aspects of the proposed simulation system are discussed, including the Simulink modeling of the power electronic circuit, control mechanism of the simulation and the friendly graphic user interface (GUI). Some key issues in improving simulation efficiency are also highlighted. For illustration, two control schemes, the conventional V/F control and the direct torque control (DTC), are investigated. The starting process of the controlled motor system is simulated. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed simulation system and also the superiority of DTC over open-loop V/F control in speed regulation and torque response.

Abstract:As part of the mission to design a medium-voltage (6 kV) large-capability (1600 kVA) variable-speed drive system, a general simulation platform is developed in the MATLAB environment to be used to verify the feasibility of the practical system and to speed up R&D. The platform is of three layers in configuration. The power electronic circuit and digital controller are represented by the bottom Simulink model, where the 24-pulse rectifier and the IGCT-based three-level voltage source inverter (VSI) are built with models of Power System Block (PSB). The simulation control block, in the middle layer, contains structurized data and flexible routines to accomplish accurate simulation efficiently. The graphical user interface (GUI), as the top layer of the simulation platform, provides an integrated environment for accomplishing data management, system simulation and result analysis. The general process of using the platform is outlined and a simple case study is carried out to verify its effectiveness.

Abstract:To study in depth the multiphase frequency speed regulation system,it is necessary to establish a simulation model for the dual 3-phase asynchronous motor system driven by an inverter.On the basis of the dynamic mathematical model of the dual 3-phase asynchronous motor,MATLAB Simulink and SimPowerSystem are used to construct a simulation model of the inverter and motor system (mixed simulation of signal stream and electrical stream)for a good reflection of the electrical characteristics of the converter. Sine voltage excitation and SPWM voltage excitation are separately imposed on the model for tests on zero-load start and abrupt load. The results of the test verify the correctness and effectiveness of the model.

Abstract:Based on the mathematical model of brushless DC motor(BLDCM)has the problem of using the discarded top of the sine wave in replace of trapezoidal wave,improving in Matlab software by combining S-function generated back electromotive.The double closed-loops of speed and current control as introduced in this system and the PI control was implemented in the speed loop,integral partition PI control in the current loop,the position of rotor was detected by Hall sensor.The simulation practical result by Matlab has proved that control system has better control quality and this novel method offers a new thoughtway for designing and debugging actual motors.

Abstract:Based on working Principle of the direct-drive wind power systems grid-connected inverter was research, the mathematical model for inverter in Three-phase rotating coordinate was established and analyzed. A double-loop control strategy that based on feed forward decoupling were introduced, Meanwhile, combining the implementation effective control of the AC-side output current by the Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation method (SVPWM), it could generate sine wave current that had the same frequency and the same phase with network voltage. To a great degree, reduced harmonic pollution in power system, moreover, improved the Grid-connected wind power systems efficiency and reliability.

Abstract:Based on the maximal power tracking control theory for marine current energy power system, this paper has designed a small power scale marine current energy conversion system. The system adopts the structure that is rectifier-chopper-inverter. The load controller regulates the DC/DC convertor using PWM signal. Then the load characteristic of the system will be changed, and consequently the speed of the turbine track optimal speed, as well as the power captured by the turbine. Using the feedback linearization model, the simulation model is constructed and simulated. The simulation results reveal that the dynamic characteristic of the system has good performance under the control environment of the load controller. The power captured by the turbine track the maximal power by changing the load of the system.

Abstract:A three-phase PWM inverter connected to power grid under one-cycle control is explored,then a new control method is proposed.Only two fully-controlled power electronic switch devices need to be applied for PWM control at the same instant so as to reduce switching loss.In addition,implementation of sine pulse-width modulation(SPWM) with one -cycle control achieves simpler electric circuit and good dynamic performance.The modeling and simulation for three-phase PWM inverter under one-cycle control is completed with Matlab/ Simulink software.The simulation results show that power factor near 1 and output sinusoidal currents are obtained,moreover,it verifies that principle of the method is feasible and further experimental confirmation should be made.

Abstract:The brushless doubly-fed machine(BDFM) was analyzed and its mathematical model was established.According to d-q coordinate transformation,the basic electromagnetic equations,the power equation and torque equation based on the motor rotor coordinate system were established.The direct torque control(DTC) strategy was researched and the switching state table of the inverter based on flux error and torque error was established.The simulation model of BDFM DTC system based on U-I flux model was built in MATLAB/Simulink.Better performance of BDFM DTC system was verified by observing flux and torque waveform in different occasions.The simulation results show that BEFM DTC system using the control method can improve the performance and achieve good dynamic and static characteristics in high speed range.

Abstract:A simulation method of direct torque control system of induction motor is presented, based on MATLAB. After discussing the configuration and working style of the direct torque control system, a simulation method, which is able to analyze the characteristic of the whole system, is proposed, based on the simulation environment and various blocksets provided by MATLAB. This includes realizing the simulation of the power system using the Power System Blockset, realizing various complex control methods using user defined S FUNCTION, and building the model of the direct torque control system in the SIMULINK environment using blocks provided by SIMULINK. An example of simulation is given at the end of this paper, which proves the validity, feasibility and facility of the proposed method.

This program uses the ideal switch model and a linear interpolation algorithm for searching discontinuity point. Both accuracy and computational efficiency are improved.

Abstract:An electrical propulsion system consisting of a 12-phase synchronous motor,a voltage source type inverter,a propeller and the ship was modeled using MatlabSimulink blocks to optimize the integrated power system characteristics and reduce the research risks and costs.The 12-phase synchronous motor driven by a variable-voltage variable-frequency(VVVF) power supply drives the propeller and the ship.The electrical drive system performance was improved using a model of the direct-axis magnetizing flux linkage space-phasor to develop a vector control scheme for the 12-phase synchronous motor.The simulations show that the torque and the direct-axis magnetizing flux linkage can be controlled separately,which is a requirement of the dynamic integrated power system for vector control scheme of the 12-phase synchronous motor.

Abstract:At the basis of analysis of the mathematical model of the permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and the principle of field-orientated vector control, a novel method for modeling and simulink of PMSM system based on SVPWM is proposed. In Matlab/simulink, the simulation model of the whole system is built, two control loops are used, which are inner current-loop and the outer speed-loop. Abstract:Electric vehicle (EV) provides a possibility for green travel, and it is more powerful and efficient than gasoline car. Through simulation the comprehensive qualities of EV can be presented before it is produced. In this paper, we propose to incorporate MATLAB/Simulink and CarSim to show both dynamics characteristic and control unit of EV. The proposed model is based on motor and battery modules, approaching the actual electric vehicle to the fullest extent. Such a platform of joint simulation can be built to ensure the accuracy and flexibility of model, which will help vehicle enterprises to reduce cost and release new product faster. At last the result of dynamic performance experiment verifies that model can perform as we wish.

Abstract:Based on the mathematical model of the Brushless DC motor (BLDC), a novel method for modeling and simulation of BLDC system in Matlab has been proposed. In Matlab/Simulink, the isolated functional blocks, such as BLDC block, Hysteresis current controller block, Speed controller block, ect., have been modeled. By the organic combination of these blocks, the model of BLDC can be established easily. To guarantee the validity and speediness in simulation, the back EMF is generated using piecewise linear curves. In the double loop of control system, a PI controller is adopted in the speed loop and a hysteresis current controller is adopted in the current loop. The reasonability and validity have been testified by the simulation results and this novel method offers a new thoughtway for designing and debugging actual motors.
