Abstract:Objective To study the diversity of clinical features of syphilis and to further recognize the disease. Methods Clinical data of 125 cases of syphilis were retrospectively analyzed. Results Chancre varied in number and position, rarely resolved with scar formation. A rare case was included in this paper, which presented with a ulcus durum on breast and was misdiagnosed as verruca vulgaris, eczema or paget's disease before the diagnosis of secondary syphilis. Other commonly seen manifestations included roseolas, psoriasiform, erythema annulare, pustule, flat condyloma and so on. These lesions commonly occurred on the trunk, palm and sole, rarely on the head and face. Co-exist of secondary syphilid and chancre were found in 13.2% patients. Conclusion Variety of syphilis lesions need to be further emphasized.
