Abstract:In order to improve the interoperation of spatial information,a new solution to implementation of discovery and retrieval for spatial information web services based on the ontology technology was proposed.After the knowledge expression of web services capacity using web ontology language for services(OWL-S)was introduced,an architecture for spatial information interaction was constructed,and a semantic matchmaker based on ontology was added into the traditional service registry center in the architecture.An actualized process of service request under the frame of spatial information web services was given on the frame of the standard open GIS consortium(OGC) web services.The results show that the ontology technology can extend the semantic of web services,re-use the same or similar web services,and improve the efficiency of reasoning.

Abstract:Web Services are self-contained, modular applications that can be described, published, located, and invoked over a network, generally, the Web. Yet the problem emerges as different Web Services interoperate each other. In this paper we recommend the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)[1] as the communication standard in the Web Services Architecture to solve the problem.First, we describe what is Web Services and present the architecture of it. Then, according to the challenge that Web Services faces, we address the key enabling technologies of which SOAP be composed. SOAP has many advantages that other binary protocols, such as Java RMI, do not have. Finally, by introducing an E-business model based on the integration of SOAP, UDDI [2], MQ [3] etc., we show the manner and flow of SOAP to implement Web Services architecture.

Abstract:Computer networks have been developing quickly under the business-oriented architecture for many years,while traditional computer network architecture cannot apply to the rapidly developing networks and the consecutive growing user's demands.As a kind of new generation network technology,Universal Carrying Network provides network services by constructing logic carrying network.Logic carrying network sets up a special network based on user's demands,considering service types it can provide.Aiming at meeting the demands of user's business and improving the resource usage,at first this paper theoretically develops a new service-oriented UCN(Universal Carrying Network) architecture,and then analyzes the steps and strategy to construct the network based on this architecture,finally develops the optimization strategy of logical carrying network based on the whole network to improve the resource usage.A new solution to constructing Universal Carrying Network and improving quality of network service is theoretically given in this paper.

Abstract:Various social network services (SNSes) cause the problem of social data inconsistency. The key to resolve this problem is to bring interoperability among multiple social network services. In this paper, we propose to achieve this by introducing the ontology representing SNSes based on FOAF vocabulary. We also implement a FOAF web service to act as an intermediary for social networking interoperability. The example application shows its usage and advantages over the conventional approach.

Abstract:How to integrate unit system to realize information and function share was urgent problem which needed to be resolved at present.To deal with this problem,service-oriented middleware Computer Aided Process Planning(CAPP)system was proposed to serve as heterogeneous systems connector for middleware instance distributed in heterogeneous networks.It supported multiple service discovery protocols and multiple service invocation protocols.Aiming at heterogeneous networks and systems,specific service discovery or invocation protocols were applied to overcome heterogeneity existing among heterogeneous interaction protocols.It realized information and function integration for heterogeneous CAPP systems,CAD,CAM,ERP,etc.

Abstract:This paper presents a network middleware named SCNet with object-oriented and hierarchical structure,which is suitable for large-scale industrial control system.By encapsulating operating system,cross-platform ability is improved.It provides safe and easy object-oriented interfaces,which can be systematic reused by event demultiplexing,and transport framework.Except above,requirements of industrial application are considered.Therefore,data sorting,session redundancy and fault diagnosis are designed and TCP flow rebuild problem is solved,fault tolerance and availability of the network are improved.Experimental results show that SCNet not only has good reusability and expansibility,but also meets high performance and reliability requirements of industrial control system.

Abstract:To avoid the isolation between the external and the internal information of enterprise information systems,a four-layer integrated framework is proposed on the basis of integrating Web2.0 and the service-oriented architecture (SOA), which contains the data layer,the service layer,the presentation layer and the collaboration layer.The presentation layer plays the key role,converging the external information from the collaboration layer to the inside of information system (IS),and diffusing the internal information from the service layer to public users.This framework can also illustrate how users contribute to producing new services,and how web services are integrated to collaborate with public users.

Abstract:CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is one of the popular technologies that can be used to construct enterprise level application,systems. However, none of conventional middleware technologies will dominate the software industry alone; therefore interoperability becomes one of the most crucial issues. Web Services is a kind of new Web application shape which shields from the existence of different middleware platforms and programming language abstractions. This paper firstly presents two models for wrapping CORBA objects to Web Services, and then analyzes some key technologies such as scalable architecture, SOAP/IIOP protocol datatype mapping, unified service providing infrastructure etc. Finally, it gives some tests and performance comparison on top of StarWebService that is developed by our team.

Abstract:This paper describes a middleware framework for integrating heterogeneous building automation systems (BAS) on the Internet. The proposed framework combines OPC (OLE for Process Control) and Web Services to integrate data and services on the Internet. It utilizes the OPC technologies in LAN and the powerful communication capability of Web Services to accommodate different communication interfaces/protocols and provide public Web Services methods. These public Web Services methods can be invoked by heterogeneous BAS or other enterprise applications to realize BAS integration and interoperation with enterprise applications on the Internet, thus filling the gap between BAS control network and data communication network. The design and implementation of the middleware technology are presented in this paper. Experiments and evaluation on performance of the middleware are also conducted and presented.

Abstract:The advent of Internet technology introduces a revolution to software application and development paradigms. Traditional software development and application patterns have been shifted to Internet-based service sharing and collaboration among partners all over the Internet. This imposes new challenges and complexity in the lifecycle of software development, deployment and maintenance. Middleware, an intermediate layer to abstract the homogeneity and hide the difference of underlying systems, can be used to reduce the complexity for Internet application development. In this paper, we exploit the needs of middleware support for Internet-based applications from a service perspective. We investigate the potential requirements and features of Internetware, and the state-of-the-art solutions. We also analyze the remaining issues, the challenges and potential future research directions.

Abstract:Service-oriented architecture can offer open standards to integrate inter-enterprise applications, but it cannot fully support complex Internet applications characterized by asynchronous transmission and high reliability. Although traditional message-oriented middleware (MOM), being loosely coupled and asynchronous reliable, is suitable for enterprise integration. Yet it is too unscalable and inflexible to expand into large-scale network environment. In this paper, it firstly presents the communication model of a new service-oriented asynchronous messaging middleware called s-AMM. Then, it designs an architecture of s-AMM which fully introduces the advantages of SOA and MOM, and analyzes some key technologies including message processing algorithm, service re-composition and security service etc. At last, s-AMM is proved to be feasible and effective by a mobile e-commence case and it has broad application prospects in large-scale network environment.

Abstract:The administration of heterogeneous networks with many embedded equipments and mobile devices is a hard and time-consuming task. Today's methods only provide static configuration files and make the addition and removal of devices a manual chore. The Open Services Gateway Initiative (OSGi) specification defines a service-oriented framework for use in residential gateways. OSGi framework acts as a gateway from the Internet to consumer devices attached to the residence's home-area network. And Jini is an infrastructure for spontaneous and ad hoc service networks. It allows users to find services which consumer devices provide without prior knowledge of their network environments. The paper presents a cooperative web framework for the integration of Jini into OSGi open home gateway which can provide much easier, more intelligent and powerful home network control service. It can federate home-area network devices and services in secure ways by Internet. This paper puts forward relative design and reference implementation.

Abstract:Interoperability and adaptability are two major problems that embarrass network measurement practices today on how to finely integrate heterogeneous measurement systems and functionalities. This paper proposes a service-oriented approach based on Web Service for building integrated network measurement architecture that’s scalable and adaptable for change. Measurement functionalities are wrapped in Web Service that can be described in WSDL, discovered by UDDI and accessed through SOAP openly. Mobile Agent, as an autonomous entity, is employed to implement the global control of network measurement, which migrates from site to site calling these Web Services to perform the measurements and returns with the data collected from them. This approach de-couples network measurement control and supporting network measurement functionalities thus introduces flexibilities into the implementation of both sides. The architecture promised by this approach allows not only fast deployment of network measurement functionalities but also simple introduction of measurement control policies.

Abstract:The prosperity of middleware brings its management much complexity due to rich types of middleware, and the openness of environments where middleware is used makes the target and requirement of its management become largely diverse. Therefore,it is demanded that the capability of middleware management be accumulated from the basic management functions in order to meet diversified and personalized requirements. A service oriented approach to middleware management is proposed. In the approach,basic management functions of middleware are encapsulated into services and with these services new functions can be developed by means of service composition,which achieves the management capability accumulation. Some key problems in the approach are discussed including encapsulation of basic middleware management functions,composition patterns of management functions,interfaces adaptation of management function services and propagation of management exceptions in service composition. It also demonstrates the approach with a management case for a J2EE application.
