Abstract:The effect of seismic on source rock, reservoir rock, caprock, trap, accumulation and preservation cannot be neglected, especially on hydrocarbon migration and accumulation. When seismic source is active, a great amount of micro fractures will be induced and connect with original pore. The original strong stress zone may change to a weak one, then oil and gas migrate to low pressured zone and accumulate at there, thus forming seismic source reservoir. By using of modern seismic network and paleo seismic data, combining seismic geology and petroleum geology, the purpose of finding seismic source trap may be achieved.
