Abstract:The application of statistical analyses to the study of hydrogeologic parameters is presented in this paper. The method is a easy one and the solution to the parameters is exclusive. Based on the s-t data obtained through pumping tests of the unsteady flow in a confined aquifer and by using the Theis's model as a reference model, nonlinear statistical modeling of series of the pumping tests are established to solve transmissibility T and storativity μ~*. Both the advanced software at present and the programmable computer can be employed to accomplish calculation the solution. Through a case study, acceptable solutions by using a multiple regression analysis module of the statistical analysis code in MATLAB language is acquired.
